A long time ago, on Tapestries MUCK, I made a few permavore characters- the general idea was that, once a character was digested or otherwise met their end in the course of an RP, they were gone for good and I'd create an entirely new character with a new description, species, personality, sometimes even gender. Once that new character was gobbled up, I'd repeat the process. To avoid spamming their system with new characters all the time, I used the same character but changed their name and everything else about them every time it happened.

This was a lot of fun- I created a wide variety of characters, some of them preds themselves, and it was exciting knowing that any moment could potentially be their last, and one foolish move could send them on a one-way trip down a hungry predator's gullet. Some of them lasted for months, a few for weeks, and one for only a few hours, but each of them had a memorable final encounter and left a lasting impression. Then Tapestries changed their naming policy and it suddenly ground to a halt.

Fun fact, Leika herself started out as one of these characters, and in fact she was gulped (she was the one who didn't even last a single day!), but then the policy change happened before I could make a new character out of her, and she ended up "stuck" as a normal, permanent character, which I then started using on a semi-regular basis.

Anyhow, it's been over 10 years since those characters ended up digested. I really enjoyed using them, I'm rarely on the MUCKs these days (and they still have that naming policy problem), some of the preds that originally claimed them have since retired or even switched over to being exclusively prey, and I figure an entire decade is still enough to count as "permanent"... so I've decided to bring them all back for one more round, this time on f-list, and to get art of each of them to help bring them to life a little more!

This is Beverly Viand (originally just Beverly, but that name was already taken on f-list), the very first permavore character I ever created. I'm still a little uncertain as to the best way to handle permavore on f-list, and am trying to prevent her from getting snapped up instantly as happened with Leika back on Taps, but here's her profile, if anyone would like to meet her: https://www.f-list.net/c/beverly%20viand

Thanks very much. If she's lucky she'll stay that way for at least a while. :)

Careful with those tags, the trophy collectors will be out in force. She's adorable though <3 and tasty looking

Give me a poke if you need to have a discussion about permavore though, I don't mind helping you bounce things around.

She really is. My first few permavore characters were cute sweet preyish species before I branched out and got more creative, but I was always sad to see them go.
