Malunir's sadistic personality lying over his perplexing intelligence makes for such a just perfect character who on the surface seems to only be acting on pure personal pleasure, has many hidden and complex motives, masterfully written into the story.

He has big brains alright^^ But his motives are quite simple indeed. He only wants to fuck and feed like all animals but some things simply appeal to him so he wont go for the simplest option.
