Unconventional, survival, tactic
Continued from part 1
After Melda had eventually left I colapsed the adrenaline had worn off and I was overcome with pain from the broken ribs. I managed to use the last of my strength to drag myself into the shelter where I eventually went unconscious.
upon waking I found myself in my sleeping bag my ribs still sore but of a manageable pain level, my sleeping bag how ever was more snug then I remember I pulled back the covers to see Melda sleeping soundly next to me, comfortably pushing her rear into me. With a sniffle and yawn she awoke first smiling gleefully upon seeing me then crying pitifully, She was apparently upset that she had eaten my only food and was afraid that I might go hungry ( not that she had tried to eat me, nearly mortally wounding me in the process) so she came back with some fruit and berries only to see that I was hurt and unconscious. She treated my wounds (I'm not sure how she knew what to do), I was apparently out for a couple days with a high fever she kept me fed by force feeding me chewed up berries, and kept me warm with her body heat.
upon learning all of this I forgave her (who wouldn't) and joked that "It would be really messed up if you decided to eat me anyway after all that work".
She licked her lips, I changed the subject (Fairies are so impulsive!!!)
I taught her some card games, she taught me about the local flora. She still visits me (AT MY HOME!) for card games and sandwiches.
