While this isn't exactly an excerpt (yet), this is an idea that I had tossed up a few days ago regarding an interactive story. I may need it to build the framework for it myself, but I haven't really looked into these frameworks before. I'm really not sure what's out there right now.

The premise is that, like in many mythos, angels and demons are often at odds with each other. You, the player, are an Angel sent to a city called Heaven in Cailfornia by your superiors to both keep an eye on the kingdom based there and to sabotogue whatever you can. Though you keep yourself disguised, what you superiors neglected to tell you is that one of the demons there can see through disguises.

Soon after you arrive, you are brought before Eliae, the volatile Queen of the kingdom, who offers you a choice: Accept the job she has for you, or be removed- permanently. This excerpt assumes that the player has refused the job initially. Long text in is based on player input, and single words are based how how the character has described their character (players will be able to decide on some aspects of their character early on in the story).
