Hey Nobodyman, I was re-reading your story of the Five Goddesses and I stopped to review THIS chapter in particular. It's my way of making up for not being able to review it before. So that said this review is special as it gives me a good look into Demi's character. No seriously a proper view. So here it goes.

I must say that opening it with the five goddesses themselves peering into the Streams of Time was really amazing. Shows just how in bad they need a hero to save their world. Given the previous chapters, it's not wonder they don't fear the consequences of using the Streams of Time. Though got to admit that it's sudden...but it makes sense with Demi.

Speaking of our main heroine of the story, this chapter really gives us all a very good glimpse of what Demi's childhood was like. From losing her parents to living within an orphanage to running away, she's got it rough. I can't blame her for being so strong willed and smart to people. Especially given how she was treated by the bullies in the orphanage as well as the adults there. Who can blame her for being harsh with the goddesses given the way life's treated her. Heck growing up from one harsh environment to another can do that to a child. We also got to how she was able to find her own brand of sword as well as how she met and was taught by her Master Qi. She really has it rough.

But at the same time we really saw her grow up to the warrior woman we see now...err well back then anyways. XD.

Mostly with how she went from hunting to competing in tournaments for a living. Decent for sure given. Heck not to mention how she's eager to face the goddess and tell them off in person despite the odds. You did good with describing the fight that Demi has with the other competitors. Though a few things stood out to me. The first was Demi's actions when it comes to defending a fighter from that giant Gregor's attack. The second part would have to be the interactions between the goddesses in response to it. Sure that Marcus Zirconis was obvious for Minerva but it would seem the others were somewhat in between. Mostly between Tiama and Chlora as they seemed to leaned a bit towards Demi. Given Tiama's argument it'd make sense that in the end that they'd choose Demi over the rest.

But what really sold me was how Demi was able to talk back to the goddesses like regular people. Not like the divine beings they were painted as. Just chew them out for giving her such a crappy life. And if I didn't know any better, I'd say that Minerva was rather impressed with the Demi's forwardness herself inspite of her refusal to see Demi's inner potential. XD But from this part alone, it would seem that the goddesses have found their champion. Though not sure what will happen next.

All in all, from what I've read of the new chapters, it's been rather fun reviewing this chapter. Gave me some more insight of Demi's character and background. I'm ashamed that I did not review this chapter sooner. Anyways I can't wait to see what comes next. So hoped that I get to see chapter 9 up and running. I can't wait to see it.
