Queen Chrysalis sits a top her throne with a full belly of a pony, one who was probably captured some time ago. The Queen will usually pick a few ponies, release them from the pods, and eat them. Southern Belle was picked first.

Commission for Railphotos. (I really enjoyed making this one~)

I would think they'd use the mind-control thing to make the ponies LOVE being eaten, then get magical love energy AND a solid meal at the same time! (One must always find the ULTIMATE evil techniques!) >:}
