The mountain shakes and the sky blackens, choked with ash filled smoke at the stirring of the beast.

The village, seldom visited and seldom left, meets the threat with solemn pragmatism, selecting one young female to sate the hunger of Krrn'nath, Lord of the Mountain.

However, the dragon's wakings become more frequent and the number of maidens sacrificed to its maw grow larger. How long can the village possibly postpone the dragon's wrath? How long can its citizens keep their souls...

So...yeah, everything about this picture is awful. My inking is terrible, and don't get me started on the composition. For some odd reason, everything I do looks so much better in pencil. At a certain point in the drawing, the ink causes the composition to lose all three dimensionality, and I'm not sure why. Also, the dragon looks terrible, and I can't draw the human body for beans.

Hey this look quite amazing and detailed so why are you saying this looks terrible?

Is great!

Why, thank you. It's a weird art thing that's hard to describe. Basically, my pencil sketches always look better than my inks. The ink takes the depth out of the picture and it's a problem I've been trying to rectify.

But, I am glad you like it.

This is terrible? If this is your definition of "terrible", then I wonder what your version of "excellent" looks like.

Seriously, though, this is amazing. You don't usually see this kind of situation too often. The detail is stunning, the inking is quite good, and the picture as a whole is outstanding. You should really give yourself a pat on the back, as something like this isn't easy for even the best artists.

Hmm, it's very detail heavy with the dragon... maybe all the inking of so many parts overloads the image and confuses the eye.

I'd say you did a great job, it looks much better than if I had done it for sure. And while I agree it's much harder to give a sketch depth with ink I think you did alright.
