Alec, after briefly visiting Negav and checking in with his scouting clients essentially just to show that he did in fact "not die" and was alive and well. He was in however homeless now and very much broke, luckily a few of his regular clients hadn't yet signed up with competing scouts. Having secured and scheduled a modest few clients (who were very happy to see him alive I might add) for future work, He made his way back to Morai to keep his promise.

The lonely giantess was thrilled to see him, once again impressed with his fearless honesty and sense of honor. In the following few weeks they became fast friends, rather easily this time, as Alec now trusted Morai, and Morai learned to stop trying to force their friendship into existence.

As they became more comfortable with one another they found that some more unusual feelings (for a human and a giant at least) were slowly forming.

There's no denying romantic chemistry, or controlling who you fall in love with
