I really enjoyed the first part of the story.

Found the fluid into the chamber quite interesting, but I don't see really why the firm would have that kind of realism. Doesn't seem cost effective.

Agreed on both points.
Honestly I saw the whole death in the game equals death in real life thing coming a mile away after she signed the disclaimer, very SAO-y.
If only a game like this really existed!

I'd be a bit skeptical if there was a death disclaimer for playing a videogame.
"Hey, I told my friends I'd come over here today,so if there's a sudden disappearance they'll come by."

Canon here is that it is painless with her passing out quickly, with the idea being that what happens to her is no different than if she were oral vored by a creature in any other scenario involving painless digestion.

Just for the sake of clarity.

But yes, I also left the motives and reach of the company ambiguous deliberately.
