One of the initial sketches for Cedna. Back when i first came up with her she didn't have a name, she was just "the witch". Her name is fairly obviously based on the ocean deity Sedna, also known as Sidna or Sanna. She makes herself appear young but is actually very old, possibly one of the oldest witches in the world. In order to not go insane she deletes old memories periodically. She also tends to get bored easily and takes delight in cruelty. Guess you don't have much use for ethics when you're bascially immortal and totally OP...

Oh yeah her iris color changes depending on her mood. Like a chameleon...Green is neutral, red is playful, blue is apathetic, purple is annoyed or mildly irritated...And if they turn lucid milky white you better back off unless you wanna get turned into a pile of worms or something similar.


Magic costs witches a lot of energy, they need regular rests during which they fall into an almost comatose state. Hence why every witch keeps a familiar to protect her during her sleep. Cedna takes it to the extreme by using her familiar's body as a host for her to live in. The familiars she chooses become her guards and mobile fortress all in one.


Cedna's origin is unknown, even to herself because she keeps messing up her own memories. She does not remember her original family, sometimes she thinks she may have been royalty in the past, or she may have been a feral child abandoned by her parents due to her powers.... Wanna know how she got these scars? Well she doesn't know actually. She keeps that scar across her lip because it was supposed to remind her of something. Too bad she can't remember what... now she just keeps it as a joke.


There exists an organisation of witches called the Circle, which Cedna avoids like the plague as they are the only people that could be a serious threat to her. She's had run-ins with them before, did not end pretty.
