Ilias gobbles up the Four Spirits this time. Also, Cupid is there, and gets her horny at the end. Eden, too.
Now that I think about it, this chapter has a lot of parallels with the last one, doesn't it? I assure you that the next chapter will be different. After all, it's the THIRD chapter, so we'll be focusing a lot more on Eden.
...Honestly, something felt off writing up the latter part of this story. I couldn't figure out what, so, ah well. Probably just me.
Praise Ilias, etc. etc.

Uh...probably the fact that killing the spirits in any form dooms the world. Just replayed MGQ part 3. If it was a simple matter of absorbing them into another subject, Promenstein definitely would have done it than just use less efficient spirit copies. I brought this up in the last part too. Am looking forward to Eden being eaten.

Naaah, that wasn't it. I know what it wasn't, I just don't know what it /was/. The Spirits dying would have fucked everything up because nobody could maintain Earth - but I'd say, by now, Ilias has more than enough power to manage that. Besides, part of her plan is re-making the world without any Monsters - some natural disasters could expedite the process, and distract the people from the fact that Ilias is back and ready to dominate~
As for Eden, I'll say this much: She's still gonna be around after Chapter 3. Though, I might write 2.5, which does involve her getting eaten (out)~

It might have something to with that whole heiarchy of the elements... light and dark are the two greater forces that govern life, while 4 elements make up all the livings and the world around it... Are you going to get us a picture of Holy Granberia?
Posted by cr055x 7 years ago Report
*make up all living things and the world around it
Posted by ItsSongxing 7 years ago Report
Partially that, and also, the Four Spirits are Monsters - meaning they're beings of Dark Energy, hence why Ilias is adverse to Luka using their powers.
As for Holy Granberia (Or, as I like to nickname her, Granberiel), I don't quite have a concrete design for her yet. I do kinda want to go beyond just "Granberia + robe + wings" though.

Valkyrie might be a step in the right direction

She may serve as inspiration, yeah.

It occured to me that you could do the design via trait theft since you decided to abandon the story. I'm still really interested in what you had planned design wise given how original some of your designs are.

Plus, Granberia can always use another win.

Could we One day see a continuation of this?

Unfortunately, I've basically abandoned this one. I'll keep it up for archival purposes, but I won't be continuing it.

Why’d you abandon it?

Just nowhere I think the story can go from here. It'd just be more Ilias eating random pools of MGQ girls without doing much else. No banter, no hunt or anything. Not to say I won't do more Ilias pred stuff, mind; especially if I'm commissioned for it. Just, this story in particular is pretty much done.

I actually had a couple ideas on for where it could go potentially based on what I've read on this. You wanna hear?
P.s. Why do you like Ilias so much?
Posted by ItsSongxing 5 years ago Report
Eh, I'd rather just let it lie at this point. Thank you for your interest, though.
As for why I like Ilias so much, I pretty much instantly became attached to her when I first booted up MGQ. She was strong, had a warm smile, and a sassy sense of humor. Of course, as I saw the world through Luka's eyes, I did see Ilias as evil, but I had already grown so attached to her I was easily swayed back to her side as I thought about the story.
Alice the First and her descendants aren't blameless, after all. For one, Alice the First made an entire race whose sole purpose is to feed on Ilias's own creation, leeching off of what took her ages to complete. Look at the Six Ancestors and the Lillith sisters; none of them are nice. Tamamo only had her change of heart because she stuck around so long. Alice could manipulate the genepool directly, so she could have made a race that didn't require feeding on humans to live, but nope. If she gave the Monsters dicks, they'd still probably be genociding humans, and without Monster dicks, humans are just livestock to them. Even if it is necessary for survival, they still get off on using men as sex toys /way too much/ for them to be morally good.
Black Alice needs no introduction. She's as sadistic as they get, and her sole justification is that Heinrich hurt her feelings once.
Alice the Fifteenth is a shitty mother, choosing to let herself die and have a /child/ take over the throne and her whole race just because of her ideology, rather than communicating with Marcellus's party.
And the Sixteenth is a shit-tier tsundere and a complete Karma Houdini, considering she causes massive ecological damage in Part 3 just because Luka is getting his spirits back. She hardly helps Luka fight until Part 3 where she can barely do anything, not even bothering to give tips - y'know, the thing Ilias does throughout your journey. She also doesn't bother to keep her Heavenly Knights in check, especially Granberia and Alma Elma, until Luka comes along and it's convenient for her.
Ilias certainly isn't blameless herself, but at least we can see why she did what she did. Yes, on the surface, it was loneliness and envy, but she at least had admirable efforts to be compassionate towards humans. You know; she tried to take their most dangerous natural predator out of the picture. I can sorta explain most of her deeds fairly well.
Plus, she's the goddess and final boss of a porn game. She's a natural pick for a vore pred, but literally one other person on the Portal has ever had her eating another identifiable MGQ character, or even any identifiable character at all - and you can barely tell it's Luka in there by the purple hair. Other Ilias pred pics are just her with a big belly filled with some unknown prey or another.

Um....Ilias doesn't really seem to care for her creations too much. Her Angels can be just as bad as monsters albeit in different ways. And she doesn't really seem to care much for Humans given she wanted to wipe out both monster girls and humans rather then say, turn them human or give them a food source besides humans which she probably could do given she made humans to begin with. Plus she manipulated many people to her own ends and had no qualms manipulating allies.
Alice isn't blameless but between the two, she's better by far and honestly more interesting given she has a Fear of Ghosts and isn't outright evil to humans.
As for the Tips thing, I think that's just gameplay and obviously isn't serious.
Also Alice's mom sacrificed herself for peace and couldn't of known it wouldn't work too well. Plus it doesn't seem the Monster Lord title is really directly in charge of all monsters. Otherwise she'd probably just order all of them to just not attack humans and live peacefully.
The First is mostly mysterious so I can't say much on her. Though given she seemed to be an embodiment of darkness from what i can tell, so of course she wouldn't exactly invite the light over for tea. Though her descendants all seem to act very differently and apparently she was a mother figure and was kind to her creations, whereas Ilias uses them as Pawns.

The Angels are bad, yes, but they stay up in Heaven rather than litter the surface. Ilias keeps a tight ship in that regard; I can thus see why Promestein had been punished, albeit the circumstances should have given her an exception.
Don't judge her solely by her actions in Part 3. That was her last attempt for a goal she had been striving towards for millennia. She wouldn't have stuck with humans for so long if she didn't want them. She couldn't have given another food source for Monsters, because the method used to create humans is different from Monsters. Humans were created in MGQ by Ilias manipulating evolution. Alice created Monsters by directly fucking with the genes themselves, and basically made them so strong so as to be a natural predator to humans - rather than putting them on an even playing field.
It was, in essence, a spit in the face to all of Ilias's effort, for no reason. And while she may have been friendly to her creations, those creations are outright evil; every one of the Six Ancestors in Paradox is some kind of sadistic horror that has a Lovecraftian disregard for humanity.
And the Fear of Ghosts the 16th has is just for comedy, with how few ghosts are encountered in the game. It has little bearing on her deeper motivations as a character; take it out, and the story remains basically the same.
Alice did order Monsters to only attack humans in self-defense. Considering how many attacked Luka when she was his companions, safe to say she doesn't enforce her rules. Contrast with Ilias, who keeps her subjects in line so there aren't problems. Alice is confirmed to be the strongest living Monster throughout the game, but couldn't even keep her four highest-ranking subordinates from disobeying her, let alone the weaker ones? I doubt it's a question of possibility alone. She clearly can't be trusted as an authority figure; Ilias may use her creations as pawns, but only because her endgame was a world where she doesn't have to play five-dimensional chess just to stop her subjects from being subjected to mass rape.
Plus, Alice hit the peak of her character development in Part 2 of the VN. Paradox is seeing Ilias go on a true quest of redemption, with such heartwarming moments that I have to think Paradox was written with Ilias in mind.

Didn't she allow for Promestein to create horrible chimeras. They were made from Monsters but still that's worse then whatever Monsters do. They didn't fuse humans together to act as servants. And Ilias order Promestein to make them so she's entirely aware and actively uses them.
Genes and Evolution are exceedingly closely tied. Basically both are very similar if not the same and just used differing terminology. Though Alice 1st also seemed to care about both Humans and Monsters to an extent. She sealed herself and her daughter's away to ensure both her descendants and the Humans weren't destroyed and made sure Ilias didn't go back on her promise by making sure the seals would break if she did. That was an incredibly long time ago so she could of used that time to make a "human substitute" by evolution for monsters but apparently never considered it. If she had, she could of used that as a back up if her main plan failed or had it as her 1st and resort to genocide if peace offerings to appeal to there desires failed. Even if she still refused Coexistence, that'd at least make them cease attacking humans all together.
Plus when you think about it, of course the Ancestors would be more destructive in there early lives: the Ancestors are pretty much immortal so that point in time may as well be there childhood especially given they stayed in there mom's care. Children don't act rationally and are impulses so if they have natural Impulses to attack humans cause the affiliated with light, they'll follow them. Thus explaining Tama being nicer since she learned over a longer time. Plus the war wasn't even started by Alice 1st or her forces, it was Ilias.
Yeah admittedly the ghost thing is just a quirk. Though I actually think her not commanding monsters is for a couple reasons. Alice XVI is young for a Monster Lord and probably hasn't been one for long given her mom, the previous lord, died when she was a kid and even if she did enforce that law, she's 1 person and monsters don't seem to have official law enforcers so she can't know if there actually following it whereas Ilias has overzealous worshippers to enforce her's with extreme devotion. Plus the random encounters aren't much to worry about since he's both a trained fighter and has her with him. If you get beat, she can save you. The reason we don't see that is because of game mechanics.
I don't think Paradox should be considered too heavily given it's filled with alternate universe stuff and isn't the same story. I'd consider it a separate discussion entirely

Monsters don't make chimeras from humans because humans are weak in MGQ, and Monsters need them in quantity for more semen. Ilias had a use for the Chimeras, and so did Promestein. Frederika is basically a chimera-zombie, especially later on when she gets modern weaponry. Plus, the Giganto Weapon was basically a proto-Chimera.
Ilias manipulated evolution by basically curating the planet to make it ideal for humans to arise. Alice can directly manipulate genes. They're similar, but different; Ilias's method takes way longer, and I think in the chronology, the Great Monster Wars were only a few millennia before Luka started his adventure, if not later; not long enough at all for evolution to make such a dramatic change. Besides; don't blame Ilias for not making a human substitute when Alice could have just /not made them feed on humans to begin with/ when she had better access to do so. That also addresses the Ancestors' "impulses"; you're supposed to teach your kid that doing such things is wrong.
Even if Alice XVI is just 1 person, she could still at least keep the Knights in line, and have them do the same in turn, and so on in a top-down structure. She doesn't even try until it hinders her quest with Luka. The random encounters are still worrisome because of how much stronger most Monsters are than a single, trained human.
Paradox should also be considered, because (spoiler) the Ilias in that game is part of the trilogy's Ilias. Plus, it revolves around the concept of the "correct history" - i.e., the main timeline, being all fucked up in whatever ways.
Posted by Deviantfan16 5 years ago Report
It is still incredibly immoral to do that. Any kind of moral high ground is launched out the window at mach 100 once you biologically fuse sentient beings together against there will into abominations.
Well that's assuming Alice the 1st had 100 % control over the results. It's said she put her essence and genes into already existing life so it's possible that wasn't exactly intended. Plus while she doesn't want Humanity destroyed, she likely wouldn't consider that too bad a problem. Plus it might be far more difficult to create a race like humans since it took Ilias a longer time while Alice the 1st likely took existing "material" for her's. As for teaching her kids, she likely didn't get to finish before the war started or she was preoccupied with other matters and planned to get to it when she wasn't as busy.
I feel like focusing on the IMMINENT GENOCIDE OF YOUR RACE is more important then keeping her knights in line so long as they keep the objective in mind. Plus our Alice doesn't seem the type to be a control freak. That's Ilias' Job. And she is the Monster Lord so she definitely could take on pretty much any random encounters if needed.
Alternate Timeline Stuff gets confusing.
