We decided to study the tribal "test of strength" in which members of a tribe are fed to a tree. If they can managed to tear themselves out or at least snap their stems, they're considered strong. However, a fully-ripened fruit is as tough as a coconut, in which case, they are cut down from the tree and are propped in the middle of the village as "statues of weakness".

I have a feeling they were calling us weak when they invited us to take part in this ritual.
