This delicious pic of Sulaa was drawn by https://inkbunny.net/tanukeki

So this is Sulaa Purseri one of many Pingviini from the planet Prinde. The ocean world of Prinde still uses primarily large ocean bound ships to get around the vast green waters the planet is home to. It was on one of those ships that Sulaa was stationed, serving as the member of the crew that organized and cooked the ships meals. It would have likely remained that way had a massive flying ship not touched down not too far away from the ship Sulaa was on as it was docked for a resupply. The news of the flying ship's landing was quick to spread around the port town as Prinde was a planet that had yet to really start into space travel. As word got to Sulaa it was already being talked about, the figure seen coming off the ship. This stirred the curious Pingviini into action. He quickly hopped off the ship and set out to see what all the talk was about.

After a half hour Sulaa found himself looking at an impressive sight. In front of his was a ship out of water and this being of no fault of faulty piloting. Unfortunately what he saw next had his heart run cold. It had seemed he was not the only curious one around as there was a circle of other Pingviini. Their manner of dress were quick to denote them as belonging to one of the many pirate bands that were a source of constant tension on Prinde. From his vantage point, Sulaa could see what he could make out as a pink figure standing in the middle. His best guess was that the figure to be one of the crewmen of the flying vessel, and now soon to be the victim of a beating by the pirate scum that now surrounded them. Even from where he was watching, he could tell that things were tense beyond words at the gathering of pirates. Just seeing a hapless soul had Sulaa reaching back to grip his dirk.

A moment passed and Sulaa's conviction only rose, sure this would likely be an effort in futility but he wasn't about to let someone get their welcome from the pirates. Hoisting his dirk to the air, Sulaa let out a battle cry and charged the circle of pirates, but before he could even get halfway the pink figure finally reacted. In a blink of an eye the figure vanished only to briefly reappear next to one of the pirates. With quick and precise movements, the pink figure had taken out half of the pirates that were surrounding him before. Unfortunately for Sulaa, with his attention now firmly held by the action he didn't notice the pirate scout that had seen him watching from his vantage point. The crack of flintlock turned the heads of a few of the remaining pirates as for Sulaa intense pain shot out from his right shoulder. The ball had lodged in Sulaa's shoulder causing him to cry out in pain, yet he held his ground turning to face his attacker.

As the battle waged behind him, Sulaa readied for the next action from the scout, but he could already feel himself starting to go the gunshot wound's effects quickly coming on. Despite this he still stood his ground as the scout brandished his pike and started running at Sulaa, who responded by holding his dirk at the ready. The scout quickly closed the distance between the two and as he did Sulaa seen his life flash before his eyes. The last few feet, the scount leaped up and reared his pike back to impale the already wounded Sulaa, but the blow never came. What Sulaa seen next seemed to happen in slow motion. He watched as a bullet sailed through the knee of his attacker and a millisecond later the pink figure appeared behind the scout to give a swift kick, knocking the scout a few feet away. With a dull thud both Sulaa and the scout hit the ground, Sulaa from his injury and the scout out cold from the kick to the head.

Some time later, Sulaa's eyes slowly opened to see a room far unlike any he had seen before. As he raised up in the bed, he felt a tinge of pain come from his shoulder and it was then his memory came back to him. He had been shot, mere moments from death only to be saved by some pink figure. A shwing sound from the other side of the room had his attention in an instant. He saw the pink figure step his way through the doorway, the words then that the figure said still remaining in his thoughts, "You're goin' ta be okay lil' guy.".

What followed was the figure, Lustea as Sulaa figured out, helping Sulaa get back to his ship, but in that time a question was brewing within Sulaa. The pair walked up to the ship only for Sulaa to stop them both his voice filled with trepidation rang out, "I-I want to join your-r crew Sir Bunny!". The figure only a gave a grin before responding. "Was wonderin' how far ya'd let us get before ya asked. C'mon say your goodbyes 'n grab your stuff, 'n then we can set out for the stars.".

And that's the tale of how Lustea and Sulaa first met. The first crewman on Lustea's ship, the Pingviini from Prinde, Sulaa Purseri. Now I wasn't expecting my story to take the turn it did, as I tend to write word to word, but I think it came out fairly well. More info about the new addition to Lustea's crew will come as I get more pictures of him. But for now I'll leave with a fun fact and likely hefty hint as to his likely role. Both Sulaa and Purseri are finnish words, Sulaa meaning roughly 'to digest' and Purseri being the name of the position in charge of the provisions and making dinner arrangements on a ship. There's even more in that Pingviini is Finnish for Penguin, which is what he basically is. So, three guesses as to what the penguin will likely end up as on the ship.

Yeah, I can't say I've seen too many penguin characters. I'll likely be writing something up with the next pic of his that details more about his personality and such. As is, I've been looking into Finnish and countries around there for ideas of various things.
