Fun fact: The name Easter comes from Eostre, pagan goddess of spring and the dawn. Rabbits and eggs were associated with the celebration of the Summer Solstice/arrival of spring because they were symbols of fertility, new life, rebirth, and the coming of spring; They were incorporated into an early Christian adaptation of Passover, and the egg was repurposed as a symbol of Jesus's tomb.
