A person will always come to hate another person, this is an indisputable fact. And sometimes, that hatred will grow and fester to wanting the subject of it to die. And for those whose hate so great, for those who have the money, they reach out to those willing to do such dirty deeds for money. Even in the time of the 2030s such people existed and would always be found lurking in the shadows of human society waiting to take advantage of those with no self-control. And those who choose such an unsavory life often begin to revel and take pride in what they do, as it is only natural for those with an occupation they’re proud of. Which leads us to the story of a team of such shady killers aiming to make it big in Pandora City.
They were a group who had once been soldiers, yet they found themselves wanting more than what was offered to them on whatever battlefield they were called to. They wanted more frequent conflicts and smaller ones at that. They wanted the type of money that could keep them going for years to come by only having to do a handful of jobs. So thus they left the fields of war for the arenas that would be created for them by the underworld of mankind’s creation. Deciding that it’d be a good idea to try and make their Pandora City their true home they decided to look into the scene to see what their competition was like. While the organized crime syndicate, The Animals, had them concerned their actual focus was upon a single woman said to leave no trace of her victims at all.
Learning what little of her they could, found out her name was Zero and managed to set her up with a fake target wherein they would kill her when she showed up. Picking their setting in one of the few abandoned factories within Pandora City, they readied their weapons and hid themselves away in wait of their kill. They truly couldn’t wait to take out this one woman and begin to slowly take over the city with her gone. But the minutes began to turn into hours and it was beginning to affect the team as they continued their stakeout. The only thing that alleviated the boredom of the wait was the occasional role call… and then suddenly during a later call two group members didn’t respond.
Immediately the remaining members of the group began to move swiftly and silently to the last known location of their missing squad mates, only for them to be short by another couple when they all rendezvoused. A tension the group had never felt before grew within them and a sense of paranoia as well. It was obvious their target was here and she was responsible for the disappearances, but there was no sign of where she was or had come from at all. The rumors had some truth to them apparently. With logic, they deduced she must have been an expert in ambush based CQC as it would explain why no sounds had been heard to signify a struggle between her and their missing squad members. With that in mind, they decided to stay together and make sure there was no blind spot within the defensive huddle they shortly formed.
Unfortunately, despite their line of sight coverage, no one ever considered looking up at all and that spelled their doom. A blur of black shortly descended from above, landing behind them all with minimum sound. By the time they all turned around a fist or a foot was sent their way knocking them off of their feet and to the floor stunned. Some of them had been able to recover quickly to find their attacker was a woman dressed in a black coat possessing both muscles and curves… and an oddly large squirming belly. Though as the few who recovered got back up the woman in black was already upon them unleashing a follow-up attack to each one that left them all completely stunned. For those who had been already left vulnerable from the initial surprise attack, the woman walked over to each member and lifted them as though they were nothing in her hands as her mouth began to suddenly open up.
The defeated soldiers of fortune watched as their target went on to suck down one of their own as though they were nothing to her. The very sight left them immobilized in terror allowing her to approach another one and repeat herself again, her belly growing in size to accommodate each person. None of them would try to grab their weapons to maybe shoot and kill her, none of them would force themselves back up to engage her in CQC, and none of them managed to please or beg to her for forgiveness. It took the woman no time at all to finish them all having said that. She stood alone in the factory surrounded by weapons that would no doubt be the only proof of whatever plan thee would be mercenaries had in store for her. And yet, despite having a massive belly that even touched the floor she had no problem moving around.
“…All targets taken care of, but… still hungry,” Zero said as she began to walk out of the factory and return to her home, caring not for the weapons her meals left behind as she somehow easily slipped into the shadows and vanished from sight.
