Normally these days I try to post a new den of dari'karra at the first of the month, a little bit of a familiar pattern... but, it's not done yet. So have some Rheal for now. Everyone likes Rheal, and he likes you... admittedly normally for lunch. Rheal visits the seat of all human knowledge. A little thank you to the hilarious history of very real scientific beliefs for the inspiration on this one...

Very nice! Though the question of "loyalty" brings up some questions of its own...if dragons view other dragons primarily as rivals, and humans as food, where does Johan now fall in the equation? It may well be as simple as what Johan said earlier on, that Rheal has mentally categorized him as a form of useful pet. If THAT's a concept dragons have..
I do enjoy this series.

It is interesting to muse on where exactly he fits into the mental framework of a dragon. Maybe almost like a landmark, or a part of Rheal himself
