I realise that there's an inconsistency between the picture and what I have written, but I drew something much easier for me as I currently can't invest the time and effort for it thanks to interruptions I can't really control.
And yes, I'm very aware that Lyra has an odd expression in this. I currently can't draw faces.
Anyway, without any input to say otherwise (such as heading back or going off the path), Lyra will leave the Dead wood in the next page. This'll likely be the last chance to really interact with this place for awhile as there currently isn't anything that can really be done here at this point in time (I literally have nothing planned or set up here, the only reason to come back early would be to chat with the currently nameless Sprite or look at the statue).
Funnily enough, that means that Page 10 will most likely mark the beginning of the actual "adventure" where a whole lot more freedom will be given in what direction things can go, with little bits of things I have in store that I hope will go over well.

Tease the sprite for her oggling, and ask her if she knows anything about vore (or whatever else it's called in TRPG). I wonder if there's a way to swallow someone without digesting them... and if the cute little Sprite would be interested in that? Also show her the earring that the wolf was wearing, see if she knows anything about it.
For now, lets stick around her and help how we can; I recall her saying that predators like us aren't too common, so showing up in a town with a full stomach might not be wise.
So she can enchant the sword to deal non-lethal damage? Interesting! I'm curious to see what everyone else thinks about taking the sprite up on that offer.

OH, I forgot to say, but ask the Sprite if there's a way to absorb traits from things we eat.

I think I know what you mean, but if it was asked in the interactive it'd probably be taken one way vs the other.

then ask if its possible to get more wolf-like by eating the wolf. casually mention the sprite's fluffy tail and that it would be fun to have one like it.

See something you like~? Don't tell me you're going to try eating me or something.

A non-lethal swords sounds interesting. If it can develop even further than that, would we have a sword capable of healing? We should get that enchantment. If we need to kill, we can always just eat 'em~
Also, she said it would take weeks without help. Ask if there's a way to help and how long it would take then.

I say have the sweetness bless our sword with non-fatal blows, since she is a pred, it would benefit her more to eat her foes live for practice then the uncomfortable feeling of eating a dead body espeically since eating them will probably be our method of killing someone anyways. and yea totally seduce the cute with her massive belly.

I agree with the concern over arriving in town looking like a pred, so hang around the forest at least until your belly's flat. In the meantime, suggest that the plant sprite can fill the sword with plant magic and see if you can help regrow the forest (by poking trees with it?) If nothing else, it would be an interesting experiment on the sword's runic nature.
As for the nonlethal enchantment.... yeah, go for it. we have a dagger and maw if we need to kill, and sometimes just knocking someone out is convinient.
is now picturing a nonlethal nature filled runic sword.... strike with binding vines!

I didn't really go into detail, but she was meant to go into a bit more detail about the different between temporary and permanent changes on the blade were.
The old one's sword conducts magic incredibly well, sorta like gold with electricity... so as long as you know a form of magic you can charge it to add an effect and boost its power. This isn't permanent however and unless you're personally the one charging the sword, it will revert back to normal after a short time.
Meanwhile the non-lethal gift she was talking about is essentially altering the sword's properties and adding another trait onto it, using the before mentioned potential the blade has. This will essentially be permanent unless it were forcefully removed.
She surely could add magic to the sword on top of the non-lethal trait, but it'd essentially be a single use spell you wouldn't need the required 5 int to use.

a sword of spell holding still sounds useful. Lets do it.

Except that Lyra has no idea what kind of magic the sprite has, and has kinda only just learnt the term. x3
Well, we'll see.

go for the village !
and before we leave the sprite, ask her her name. like that, if we meet another sprite on the way, we can tell them that one of them needs help to restore a forest ... if the sprite in question trust us.
and for Lyra's belly, let's wait until its size decreases enough (like the size of a watermelon) so that it does not attract too much attention in the village.

Get the nonleathal enchanment, wait for belly to be smaller ask for belly rubs and ask more about the sprites quest and help them.

I forgot to say collect berries, ask about ears and tail, ask to lick sprite.

A lot of people have made good suggestions already. Wait until your stomach becomes more manageable, Ask the sprite for their name and why they're eyeing our gut so hard, etc, though I had a question. Would it be impossible to restore the Old One's Sword if we give it the nonlethal enchantment. While it's definitely handy for for friendly solutions or napping live meals, are we missing out on anything by taking the sprite up on their offer?
Posted by AwokenedWispKP 6 years ago Report
It depends on if the old one's sword originally had non-lethal capabilities or not, I'm somewhat unsure on where to take it at this time.. but it'll either alter the blade's restoration, do absolutely nothing in terms of growth or simply disappear at some point due to the sword needing said potential back.
The non-lethal trait is kind of similar to the fact that the sword is unbreakable, except for the fact that as it would be added to the sword.. allowing for it to also be removed if so desired. So personally it shouldn't effect the restoration of the sword as it is, but said whim could change later in the interactive depending on how things went.

Ah, so we aren't completely stuck with the nonlethal if we find out that we need the sword's original function. If that's the case, then why not?

If the non-lethal buff can be removed, then i say go for it!
