I recently found out a few neat things, D&D-wise.
1. The Morph class has better shapeshifting advancement than the druid, due to not having magic to fall back on.
2. My DM enjoys bringing in Monster Hunter critters to fight, via a PDF with their stats.
3. My DM classifies all Monster Hunter creatures as beasts.
Thus, without ANY rules-lawyering, it is entirely feasible for Ryla to transform into a great jagras. Or a gobul. Or a tetsucabra. Or a barroth. Or an anjanath. Or a pukei pukei. Or a lagombi. Or even an agnaktor, apparently?

Holy hell that can get overpowered extremely quickly. I hope your DM is ready for some serious game breakage.

I mean, you turn into a CR 7 monster at level 15. That's pretty reasonable. Great Jagras is CR 4, which is available at level 8, and which puts it below things players can already turn into like bulettes and trolls.

Be aware, the shapeshift table and level advancement table contradict each other, for some reason. I go with the shapeshifting table's word on it, since that way there's fewer empty levels.
