First and foremost, this was a commission done by my friend Leshawk
Of all the mythical beings to walk the Earth during the Age of Myth, the Undead have had… perhaps one of the worst runs. The undead were unnatural in the world created as a result of the darkest magic Necromancy coming into existence thanks to the efforts of mages within Ancient Egypt. From these works did tormented ghosts find ways to be anchored to the world and to those who conjured them, mummies were granted the power to fulfill their duties to protect their tombs, and then there were the Liches and the Vampires the mightiest of them all. And yet thankfully these beings never truly got much of a footing on the world due in part to those mages who realized this whole school of magic might have been a bad idea in the first place. Unfortunately while an uprising of the undead never took place in Ancient Egypt; several Liches had come to be albeit still in slumber, a covenant of vampires had fled from the civilization and to other lands to the north, and finally many papyrus scrolls on the subject of Necromancy had been lost.
But nothing ever truly stays lost.
And nothing ever truly remains unknown.
The next necromancers to emerge in the world all hailed within Eurasia and were quite ecstatic to see what they could do to improve on the formulas their predecessors had left behind. And as it turned out aside from creating fully animated skeletons and the ever classic zombie to… just variations on the zombie showed that perhaps there was more to just necromancy than creating a new being from those that had died. Focusing less on creating the undead, these new Necromancers began to discover what they themselves could actually do with their power aside from raise the dead and became quite intoxicated with how they could play with the energy of life and do with it what they wanted. And then at one point that wasn’t enough for some of them resulting in the decision to shed their humanity for new lives that promised more power, but more importantly immortality.
And so Eurasia would become the birthplace of the first great Vampire Uprising and from there on the Undead started becoming an actual problem for mankind, but this threat would not go unchallenged. For there were those who rose against those that perverted the essence of light, those who chose to hunt the night, and finally those who really wanted to achieve fame and fortune while saving their fellow man. And so this would essentially go on and on spanning decades and even centuries. Though as time went on, man triumphed more and more and the undead were forced further and further into the dark. They would never be fully slain however, for they always had a way to ensure more of their kind would arise.
Of the many aspiring Vampire Bloodlines that arose all those centuries ago, only seven have managed to remain in the world come the Age of Science. And among them, the Sinclaire Clan is perhaps one of the worst.
Vampires have always been an absolute threat to most humans, what with being naturally stronger, faster, and tougher than them and this isn’t even touching on the inherent magical abilities they possess. From being able to assume a set amount of forms, to managing to mesmerize others upon eye contact, to being inherently able to tap into the idea of magic with the right training, these creatures of the night will always remain in the top hierarchy of the undead right below Liches. And yet for all of their powers, Vampires require to feed on the living whether through blood, eating souls, or even swallowing their prey whole and alive as they require the life essences to replenish theirs. And if that wasn’t enough, they require a stimulus to ensure they maintain their sense of self.
As for the Sinclaires themselves, this clan had a very unnatural tendency of indulging in primal desires to sate themselves in terms of acquiring the necessary life essence to live and the stimulus to maintain their sense of self.
Of the current standing within the clan, Claire Sinclaire, despite not being the first born of her generation, is in line to become the next head of the clan simply because of her potential and promise over her siblings. Though Claire has yet to tap into magic, she’s fully capable of tapping into her other abilities as easily as it is to breathe. One day however, she will acquire magic. And another day, she’ll be called back to her clan’s hidden home somewhere in Europe to take her rightful place as head of the Sinclaire clan.
And then on another day after all that, she’ll have made the world hers and reduce the human race to being her eatable toys. Or perhaps that won’t happen at all.

Cool to see her again. Vampires are some of my favourite mythical creatures. Namely cause of Alucard, Dracula and DIO

Vampires are awesome and one of the few undead worth talking about. Ah yes, a classic trio for introducing one to the classiest of the undead.

Yes. Truly the greatest Vampires in ZA WARUDO. Though I’d like to know how being half vampire works for Jasmine. Is she Half Undead?

Hey now, there's Vampires just as good, and better, than those three. Vlad von Carstein and Kain certainly come to mind in the latter regard.
So basically Jasmine's just a demon, except with a heavy influence of vampirism in her. She doesn't have a crippling weakness to sunlight and she doesn't really have to worry about having a stimulus to keep her from going nuts. Her nature as a succubus however meshed really well together with what else her vampiric heritage had to offer.

So her nature as a Succubus mixes well with a Vampire’s Abilities. Guessing that refers to there nature as seducers who feed on the life energy of others. Does she experience any kind of discomfort from things that Deter Undead or Sunlight?

Nope. That stuff just doesn't affect Jasmine in the slightest.

Yeah guessed that might be the case since she is fully alive. Though how do Demons operate in this world?

I think I already touched on that in Alice's reference.
Posted by Deviantfan16 5 years ago Report
Oh? I’ll check it.
In other important news though, When do you think your next story will be up?
Posted by DeadStrategicCactus 5 years ago Report
Can't say. At least something will go up this month.

Alright. Also why's your Avatar Hans Christian Andersen from Fate?
Posted by DeadStrategicCactus 5 years ago Report
It just is. There's no real reason behind it.
Posted by Deviantfan16 5 years ago Report
You ever thought of changing it?
Posted by DeadStrategicCactus 5 years ago Report
Some times. No idea when I'll change it though.
Posted by Deviantfan16 5 years ago Report
What have you thought of changing it to?
