I drew this a lil while back, BUT GADDAMN this is the perfect time to post it! Live action One Piece confirmed! I'm hoping for the best!


Okay, so a little explaining if you don't read/watch One Piece and don't understand the pun here.

So, in One Piece, the main currency is called a "Beri" and this character, Nami is... well, a little obsessed with money, shall we say?
Also in One Piece, people get super-powers by eating special fruits; These fruits have funny names like the "Gum-Gum Fruit" that gives you Rubber Powers or the "Magu-Magu" fruit that give you magma powers.
Now, on various occassions, the "L" and "R" sounds in Japanese-speaking have been sorta mixed for various reasons; There's plenty of videos why this is case, so I'm not going into depth about it. But its happened in One Piece too. The character Zoro was once mistranslated as "Zolo".

So the gag here is that Nami ate a "Belly-Belly" fruit that gives her belly powers (preggo powers, Inflation, expasion, etc, etc), because she thought it was a "Beri-Beri" fruit and it would give her money powers. Badum-Tish. :D

Also to indepth One Piece fans; I'm aware there is a canon "Beri-Beri" fruit that gives Berry powers; Let's ignore that one, okay?
