This here is a case study in what happens when I'm spoiled for choice. There were SO many ways I wanted to try spinning this. Should Claire balk, or be willing in the end? What type of pred will get her? What pushes her to submit the form when it's obvious she's going to get immediately claimed?
Ultimately, my innate sappiness won out. I also had to fight my penchant for sub-plots. There used to be a whole extra bit with Mr. Greene's daughter Sally interacting with Claire, and a greatly extended part with the Distribution center that didn't even get cut down that much.

In the end, I think I winnowed out the best parts. I'm curious how Stewart will be received. I know that many of my readers aren't big fans of sentient predators, and some aren't fond of the original concept I had for him. In response, I tried to keep his physical details nonexistant in the hopes of bridging that gap. Since I have a very clear mental image of him, it's hard for me to say how well it worked. Once again, it's not exactly one of my super-steamy, messy, melty vore-fests. I'm not trying to move away from those, but I do like trying different things, and I wanted this one to be more emotional.

Comments are appreciated, especially regarding story direction and quality.
Please, enjoy

I've waited over a year for this and I'm happy to say it was well worth the wait.
