As it turns out, getting swallowed and digested by a bunch of animals doesn't actually make you a better predator. It seems that Astolfo wasn't yet satisfied with Hideri's acceptance into the club and wanted to haze the poor boy a little more. Hideri didn't take the news well and fought his way out of a horse butt to exact his revenge against Astolfo.
