And then all of a sudden, all movement from the figure stopped cold.

The sound of struggles suddenly vanishing made both girls whimper, still blindfolded and left to imagine the worst. But the truth was the masked client was looking over them for a moment - even Kellie, whom they didn’t plan to be her.. and when they spoke again, their voice had changed somewhat - it was still shaky but, for the first time, whatever fear they felt wasn’t on it. Just a bitter anger that seemed only partly directed at Shiori. “J-Just… give me one minute with them, then. Let me free them - tell them what to do, if I can’t be there to do it.” the figure whispers. Almost pitifully so, what with how their shoulders have slouched in defeat … but for the first time in any instance speaking to Shiori, his voice is nothing but defiant and steadfast. Even through the palpable fear, the masked face no longer shies away from the Shadow’s dark eyes, whispering what little it had left to say to her.

“Even if she doesn’t really know me… even if she’s not my blood… at least let what little family actually cared about her to make sure she’s safe. At least… at least let me say goodbye, damnit.”

"Make it quick, while I still have my patience." Shiori demanded, however he continued to very slowly sink deeper in her shadow and into her hungry stomach.

A tremor runs through the client’s shoulders at the cold response, especially given the continued pull of the shadows below. The mask shakily nods before turning and kneeling down to reach for Sarah’s bound form, the latter recoiling with a small gasp at the sudden contact. A moment is spent struggling at the bindings before they come free, gently pulling Sarah into a sitting position and holding her by the shoulder with one hand… while the other tugs away the rushed disguise.
