Numerous people have pointed out that the Lion King universe was full of... Maybe not inconsistencies, but at least some unnerving details... The first of which being that the rulers litterally feed on their subject, and this is basically talking animals eating other talking animals...
Of course, one can disregard these details as mere plot devices necessary for the magic to work.

This story, however, expands on these unnerving details.
The current lion king, Mufasa, abuses of his place within the food chain as well as his political power.
We are following a group of animals trying to expose his crimes and sue him in justice... To anyone who have seen the movie, their failure is obvious...
This story also serves as a theory on Timon's father, and developps Saphyr and Ruby, two characters who appeared in my first lion king story ^^

Fun fact : aside from Saphyr and Ruby, all the names of the characters I created are taken from Swahili language :
Shahidi : Martyr
Mlinzi : Protector
Mawindo : Prey
Haki : Justice
Mwongo : Lies
