Hey y'all! Been a while. But I have come here to bring you another story I've been working on for a while. Like the others I've published, I wrote it with the idea that it could fit into HipHugger's universe. And like the others, that does not mean it's something that did happen, but rather, is something I wrote for fun.


Summary:

Olympia Sandston, the witch turned lamia, is on the hunt for silver. While traversing an abandoned mine outside Superior, AZ, she encounters a young feral succubus named Miranda, a half-Arizona coral snake lamia who's been dying for someone to come into her domain.


This tale serves as an origin story for Miranda, who I had written months ago as being a friend of Olympia's at her annual Thanksgiving party. She didn't get much focus in that scrapped story, as the main plot revolved around the lone male guest (who was more-or-less the closest thing you'll get to a self-insert of me in my stories) trying to avoid being eaten by various predators such as Tenderfoot. I might revive that story in the future.


This piece also serves as the debut of another witch-owned company: the Mogollon Railway, established ~1903 (subject to change) to serve Valerie's shop. Valerie created it to connect the newly-formed town of Sedona to Flagstaff so that she could get supplies for her facility faster. Belle was placed in charge of it not out of nepotism but because none of the other Sisters under Valerie's command expressed any desire whatsoever in running the railway. I have it that she runs it from the shadows, with a "puppet" CEO being the public face of the railway. And yes, Lien is very proud of her little chime running her own little railway.

Other characters appearing for the first time are Sisters Ginevra "Gin" Johnston, who's under Belle's command; Susanna "Susie" Baron, the real-life youngest child of Betty Parris; Clara Cruz, who's a descendant of Valerie's; and Dierdre Simmons, who also appeared in that scrapped Thanksgiving story like Miranda. Also mentioned is Rosa Cruz, who's dating fellow Sister/Olympia's grown-up biologist daughter Aleksandra Sandston.
