Another tender gift, given to me by the lovely  largerarge

The fox felt so small in the presence of the large bear. He had bumped into her tummy clumsily when he wasn't looking, she came out of nowhere! He had no idea how she got into his home, and he was certainty frightened by her sudden appearance. The pink bear gently knelt down to Chris's eye level, a look of tenderness on her face. The fox was nervous and didn't know what to do, he froze up as she looked at him. "Don't be afraid. My name is Love-a-lot. I'm a care bear. I'm not going to eat you, I'm here to help." Her voice reverberated through Chris. He felt a lot calmer looking into her eyes. He'd never met a care bear before, and he wasn't sure what was going on, but... he seemed to trust her. There was something about her that just filled him with... well... love.

He took a few shy steps towards her, curious about the new person in his home. Love-a-lot simply opened her arms for a big gentle hug. "I've heard about what you've been through lately, and I'm here to help." Chris's eyes widened. He had been going through a horrible time, things seemed to be getting worse and worse. He hesitated, unsure what to do. The choice was made for him, as the soft pink arms of the loving round bear suddenly wrapped around him, hoisting him up onto her heart-marked tummy. He squished into her tummy and breasts as she held him close, nuzzling the top of his head. Chris wiggled a bit, fear gripping him for a second, but as she whispered soft shushes into his ears, the fox calmed down. It must have been some kind of care bear magic, because when she held him, Chris felt his troubles melt away. He felt like he was holding an old, tender plushie that had come to life. He closed his eyes, nestled close, and let the bear hold him. She pet over his head, and kept him company.

Very little was said during her visit, but that was okay. The two just spent the hours together, holding each other. When Love-a-lot did speak, her words reverberated through Chris like a magic spell. "There are many out there that love you, little fox. In times of despair, it's easy to forget that. I'm here to make sure you feel the love they have for you. Every friend, family member, even those you do not know, I can feel their love, and send it back to you." Chris could feel the warmth through his body, filling him with a calming he desperately needed in this dire time. He held onto the bear tightly, letting her take care of him. He felt safe, he felt loved.
