The Tuareg orcs have found one of the subordinate groups 'under' them has found a new cache of metal. No Orc warrior is going to squander their talents mining, but the Tuareg feel obligated, rather than just taking the metal, to send an Orc Warrior to go do a task for the little unimportant group that is doing their service to the more powerful creatures.
Jagh lost the game they played to determine who got sent, and thus gets to look at the actions of the beastmen he doesn't care about much more closely than he'd thought he would've.

First of all, if you want to learn something neat, a lot of the nonenglish words are Tuareg words, since ancient Tuareg culture is cool. :D https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuareg_people The main character is totally a 'Blue Orc'.
They've also done some more modern stuff, but this isn't meant to be a political statement or anything, just highlighting a cool culture.
Second!
This story was fun to write, haha. Getting into Jagh's head took a bit of doing and I had to rewrite several sections, and I didn't quite expect it to go the way it did by the end. Jagh being so much more powerful than the locals is a neat dichonomy.
I then have a bit longer of a story planned for tomorrow, but tomorrow will also be busy, so we'll see if I get to it.
¡Orctober!

A very different culture for Jagh to get used to...
