Dory seemed to have discovered that goodras are a thing. It only made sense that she would hunt for such a tasty slime. Incidentally, she's not too familiar with the idea of shiny pokemon. As far as she knew, this was just a slime dragon with a unique flavour.

...also, this was the first goodra she came across, and it was a shiny...
