I wonder what was more of surprise to the folk running this year's harvest festival; that an honest-to-goodness alien would show up at their big day, or that she had come to harvest *them*?

Doesn't really matter either way, does it? The avali is going back to her ship with a full belly and a few snacks for the road regardless.
