I suppose the first place to start is asking what sort of dragon is Izumi? Is she a full dragon who has shapeshifting powers to resemble an human? What are her powers as a dragon?

Fire dragon actually (dragons in her cannon setting are based on elements rather then the usual colors/metals) XD. yes! Izumi is 100% full dragon and can shapeshift, the rings around her legs, arms and neck act as restraints to limit her form. As for powers, nothing super fancy. Largely fire based stuff fire breath, fire beam, in full dragon form can ignite herself, flight, strength durability etc. and a giant superheated fireball she call's dragons gunfire.

Nice! May I ask why she wears the restraints in the first place? Surely she must have some reason for looking human?

sure! reason is pretty mundane actually >>; . Dragons in her setting (my setting XD ) are very large and powerful (izumi at full dragon shape size is 30 feet tall and perpetually on fire) and can cause huge damage to city blocks on accident. So most dragons wear restraints (called coils) to reduce their power and force them into a smaller form. The human shape is because most other races are humanoid, so it lets them communicate better, though all dragons have horns even in human form.
