If going vaguely recall. This is probably if going on a stages of grief lens; going to lead to Natalie having nightmares/erotic dreams of being a predator, or absorbed by Diane for awhile... Before she just, gives up and has to start begging to be absorbed/a permanent part of Diane.
But I'd probably bet if such a dynamic/thing happened by long term lingering lust, and fear... It'd probably lead to Diane, having 'fun' absorbing/integrating her 'favorite' student, until she goes into say; 'preserving' her more youthful alter ego as an alt-form, and she starts being more aroused in being absorbed/integrated within an evil teacher's soul.

And I'm probably guessing long term, the "smudged" face is a soul, being burnt/digested, for the process... which if going on a paranoid student's mind, going to probably spiral to circles of erotic nightmares, until say; instead of in fear being a 'rat'... In fear, just give a confession in just 'wanting', and begging to be absorbed/integrated as an alt-form, or more/digested, "forever"....

The magic circles on Diane's belly are an interesting way to represent prepared spells.
Do they naturally deteriorate after being casted or were they just damaged by her hot shower?

After casting the spells the circles became just simple drawings. Diane would need to clean herself for space, draw another one and put magic into it.
