Monopoly is a game in which four players sit around being miserable and at the end no one is happy. Voropoly changed one aspect, and at least made that last player standing happy.

If you think 'oh, I remember that game! We should play again for old time's sake and see how it holds up!' don't. Monopoly sucks.

FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT!!!!

Joking aside there are tons of better board games. For my family we got into the Tiny Epic series for one, and i play a lot of deckbuilders.

I used to meet at a card shop for D&D and I ended up with a good assortment of a lot better games, my friends just love Mysterium.
