The one with James family seems cliche, and the fusing thing would be really hard to pull off believably. I don’t think any of them should turn human as that also feels cliche. The alternative endings with William will be impossible to write without it becoming a happily ever after which I think you should avoid. Speaking of which I think Ellie would be best described as a neutral evil. Since she has come a long way, but is forced to not be able to be entirely good. Honestly I think the best thing to do is to have multiple endings. Letting the reader choose their favorite ending instead of having one “concrete” ending. Since from what I can see it’d be impossible to have just one ending. I have a few ideas I can give for some but I’d like to know your thoughts on what I’m saying as this comment is ridiculously long lol.
With the whole Ellie being neutral evil makes sense, and I guess Charlotte would be a neutral good? And Clara would be just be neutral?
But the whole family idea is more on the lines as character development for James, I think he's ok the way he is. But sometimes I think he needs more confidence. (My cowriter writes him, I'm the one writing Ellie.)
And as with the endings I kinda worded it wrong, I ment alternative paths. Like one, Ellie remains in her evil state is after William tells her to kill James in part 6. And I agree with the let people choose their pathway, mine will always be the main but others might like the evil route or another one.
And sure you can share your ideas, but I would say do it over private messaging. I prefer doing that over comments when discussing.

My cowriter and I were originally going to do that, but I figured we'd leave it to an alternate segment.
