Everyone seemed pretty agreeable to just telling her we're a traveler that was following the smoke, and that seems to have smoothly diffused the situation! We also avoided telling her where we're from since a few people didn't want to give away information about ourself.
We were able to get a bit of information about the area out of her, but not too much yet. Should we stick around and hang out with Bally for a while? Or head off already now that we vaguely know where we could go? Take the robe off to dry, or turn her down and just deal with being wet? If you want to stick around, it would help to also note what you want to talk to Bally about.
Also, feel free to ask any questions about the world (that are relevant to the current chapter) if you think you want/need more information about something! I'll do a 'live' intelligence check before answering if it's something Adrea might know haha
You can find Adrea’s character sheet here!: https://aryion.com/g4/view/712418
(I added hunger as a constantly visible status)

Mmmm, we're staying with Bally and take up her offer of taking off our robe. But to be safe, we're sitting at the opposite end of the table/as far away from her, as politely possible.

You’re being paranoid, this woman seems genuinely kind so far. Also her abs are hot. Follow her instructions while attempting to show off your form a bit. Ask her about her critter problem. If she’s being so nice maybe you could help.

Hey, I never told you about her hot abs! >:U

Take off the cloak. Worst case scenario: She eats us
Best case scenario: she eats us.

Take off the robe, but keep it within grabbing distance just in case. Stick around for a little while, maybe broach the subject of dealing with the fox problem in exchange for some supplies for the road.

She seems nice enough. We should take off the robe but do it when she's focused on the oven. Stash the bracers in our pack if we can't conceal them without the robe. They're a little too fancy to be explained away. At least we'll still have our staff.
We should ask her when she's planning to take her crops into town. If she'd like some help with bandits on the road, it would be a good time for us to head to the city and we can handle ourselves in a fight. We can offer to take care of the fox issue in the meantime.

Yeah we definitely can't hide the bracers without the robe, Adrea isn't wearing a shirt under it haha

In a nice way, tell her you'll put the cloak outside yourself. While doing so, stash the bracers back in our sack. To thank her for the meal, we should ask if there's anything we can do about the fox situation. (and find out if it's an actual fox, or a fox-girl situation). Lastly I think we should head for Perun. It is closer, and being a smaller town might mean less danger.
Side note: If she's got chickens, the other crops are totally corn stalks

I can confirm that she's talking about an actual fox- no one would refer to a person as a "critter" even if they're beastkin. Well, unless they're super racist I guess haha

OOP. I totally misread that situation then

Politely decline her offer, using your own magical fire to dry off, warm up, and show off a little before offering to look into her pest problem in return for being so hospitable.
And in my opinion, it feels off without character dialogue. It feels like there's meant to be a time skip whenever it pops up.

I'm gonna say keep the cloak and settle for being a little bit uncomfortable for now, and ask what we can do about the fox.

My view of the situation:
I say that we agree to take off the cloak, though ask if you can stash your things in another room. This would give you an opportunity to explore more of the living space, find any available exits if there was a need for a quick exit, and maybe find some secrets that could give you more to know about the wolf girl that you are not getting from just simply talking to her. You could also stash the bracers, and you could wash up if you needed to. Once you get back to her, ask about the fox problem, and offer your services, as well as offer to take her to the next town if she thought she needed help.

It seems safe to let our guard down. Take off the robe to dry, but don’t bother trying to hide the bracers. She's been open and honest so far, we might as well too. I doubt she'd freak out if she saw them, and if she asks I think we're fine to explain where they came from.
Thank her for her hospitality, and inquire about the bandit problem as that seems more pressing, and something we're more equipped to deal with compared to the fox.
If there are bandits in the woods threatening people, I'm sure Bally and anyone else in the area would appreciate them being dealt with. It could also net us some kind of reward from whatever passes for the law in the area when we inevitably next find ourselves in civilisation.
Regarding things Adrea might know, has she heard of/know anything about Laridian? It might be good to know what we're walking into if we decide to head there.

Adrea has heard the name Laridan come up before while talking with merchants that came from The Vale, but doesn't recall any specific information about it.
