Here's a short comic in 4 parts I had commissioned and drawn by White_Kitachi over on FA, along with an accompanying story that I wrote.
It features predominantly my pinkette catgirl Tina and Sallyy, and takes place in the continuum for a roleplay between me and Sallyy's owner Zandveer.

It was quite an exciting morning for the young empress. Since the war to the north east had stalled she decided that the next time she was to go back to the front lines she ought to pick up a combat companion, mount, and pet. So after having gone through her options she had selected the new exotic mounts that had recently been starting to be sold by a small, but rich kingdom to the south. A large bird like creature called a Chocobo.
Where they had come from nobody quite knew. One day there was none, another there was a whole field full of them. They had just appeared out of nowhere from a breeder in the south. Since they seemed great mounts and pets they quickly grew in popularity among the elite of the continent. Especially among those with bottoms too sensitive for horse riding.
The pink haired empress the latest one of said elites that had set her eyes on the magnificent bird. It's striking black feathers would work as an excellent contrast to her own bright hair to make her really stand out among the rank and file, to inspire courage in her troop and fear in her enemies. Looking up at the freshly delivered pet she smirked and gave it another once over. Truly a magnificent specimen.
"Alright stablehand, you can leave. I'll take it from here." The empress commanded the stablehand to leave. Wanting to get a good solo experience with the creature that was going to serve as her mount. After all, it needed to know just who of the pair was the boss.
"A-a-are you sure that is wise your majesty?" The stablehand stammered. He was an average young man with scrawny black hair and a sad excuse for a beard. Also a lot taller than the empress, though that was not unusual due to the empress' diminutive stature. "The instructions say they can be difficult." He added, holding out the list of instructions of care.
Walking up to him the pink catgirl snatched the note out of his hand, an act that cause the stablehand to recoil in fear. "How hard can it really be. It's just a large bird." The empress rolled her eyes. "You are dismissed until I call for you. I'll take care of and train her until I feel I have bonded enough with her." The empress said sternly, commanding more obedience than the size dynamic between the two would suggest. A quick step to the side made her armor clink softly as she pointed at the servant with the note. "I got this after all, and the knight's stables doesn't clean themselves from horseshit now does it." The kitty teased, a signature smug smirk on her face.
This only made the stablehand slump as he is reminded of his more usual tasks. "As you wish your majesty." He say and bow. His posture one of someone who had their sweetroll stolen. With that the young man left the special stable erected for the new mount of the empress.
Once the man had left Tina would roll open the scroll to skim through the care insteuctions. "Huh, why is 'Make sure your chocobo is always well fed' written in bold?" She asked out loud, the only other creature in the stable letting out a small noise at her question, though if it was an answer or just a reaction to her speech the catgirl was unable to distinguish. Not that it mattered as Tina didn't exactly speak 'kweh.' With a shrug she continued to read through the list, including common commands, grooming, and dietary suggestions. Tossing the list to the nearby table the Empress decided a test drive of her new mount was in order.
Opening up the pen proper Tina would smile at large creature, it's black feathers shining in the faint light from the lantern illuminating the stable. "You really do look amazing. I need to figure out nice name for you." She said as she slowly approached. Her hand reaching out to pat the side of the chocobo's neck. "Well, while I think about what to call you, why don't we go find my wife. She have yet to see you, it will be such an unforgettable introduction!" Tina exclaimed as she with surpring agility for someone clad in battle armor lept up on the black bird's back. "Onward!" She commanded, and to her credit, the chocobo actually stood up and started to leave the building.
Stepping out into the late morning light the pair was greeted by the gentle breeze that carried the chill of the approaching winter on it. It made the ruler shiver a little, but she could handle a little cold. Every tree in sight showing browns, yellows, and reds among their leaves. A few which fell down with every passing of the wind. Tina never quite liked fall. She was more of a summer cat. The wet and cold that the end of summer brought never sat quite right with her.
Yet today was a nice day as she sat on the back of her new pet. The black feathers almost seemed to absorb and give of a warmth that staved of the cold. It made The queenly cat feel surprisingly comfortablenestled between the birds wings. Even if she would just want to sink in deep among the avian down, she had a personal mission to accomplish. To introduce her new pet to her wife. With a secondary one to figure out a name for the bird as black as obsidian.
Once outside the stable and in the huge penned off area for the black bird to roam in she was almost caught off guard as they let out a loud "Kweh!" before bolting off. It kept running around it's new enclosure Promting Tina to hold on for dear life. Yet there was excitement in this. The bird was faster than any horse she had ridden and yet so elegant and smooth in it's motions. Despite the speed she felt quite secure too. It didn't take very long for her to relax her grip and just enjoy the motion. An excited laughter leaving her lips as it kept running around the pen.
It kept running along until eventually halting in front of the wife of the Empress which had been left away from the stable to enjoy the warm autumn day at the other end of the pen. The sudden break had shifted Tina forward so that she was prone against the bird's neck. That worked out just fine though as she got a better view to speak to Sallyy from. "Hey Sallyy, look at my new mount!" The empress's voice one of excitement. "Isn't she fierce looking?" The pink haired kitty said excitedly from the back of the Chocobo.
Sallyy however didn't seem quite as excited as her short wife. She didn't know much about these birds from the south, only having seen em a few times she knew they could be a hassle, even if they were quite majestic beasts. She was quite unsure about how this all was going to turn out though. So of course, unlike most of the people in the empire Sallyy was not one to shy away from telling the empress exactly what she thought. "Are you sure you can handle something like that? Seems like it may be a bit tough for you..." She told the excited royal. Not quite a fan of the way the big bird was looking at her...
