'An Angel Next Door' is an interactive story in which you play as Tan, a pet squirrel with an unfortunate crush on Angel, the squirrel-eating dog next door. Navigate your neighbourhood and try to survive as you win over Angel's affections.

Welp, this took longer than anticipated, but I'm thrilled to announce that v1.1 of An Angel Next Door is finally available! You can find it here:

This is a MUCH bigger update than I was initially intending it to be, but hopefully it's worth the wait. (Future updates won't add as much content in one go, although hopefully also shouldn't take as long to finish)

My one regret with this update is that our favourite girl Angel doesn't get much extra content, so that's going to be my main focus for v1.2 - Old Dog, New Tricks. In the meantime, please let me know what you think of this one!

An absolutely wonderful CYOA, good writing, great characters, and excellent scenes. I am looking forward to later versions of this game, especially Fozz, and their desire for Tan, to go deeper. Also if i may throw out a suggestion, could there be a scene during Vol's discount dildo scene where Tan can choose to stay within the sultry vixen, and if there's any way to support the game, please let me know.

That's wonderful, thank you so much! And yes, it might not be in the next update (which is going to focus a lot more on Angel), but Fozz will eventually get their desire...
As for that suggestion, definitely something I'll consider! I'm trying to limit the scope of my options at the moment, because if I'm not careful I just plan too many options and nothing gets finished, but as more predators have their main branches finished, I'll be going back through and adding more variations on the existing branches. That may well be one of them!
As for supporting the game, thank you very much for offering! I'm not currently looking to make any money from this (and don't envisage I will in the future), but I'm very fond of fan art/writing if that's something you'd enjoy commissioning/creating to show your support! Otherwise a donation to an upstanding animal charity would assuage my guilt at doing such awful things to their fictional brethren ;)

It's well done and well written! My only issues lie in that the kink selection menu is only available from the quick start, and that it does not actually seem to change anything. Most of the options available aside from the AV switch just seem to be there for decoration, considering the disposal one and the body worship ones seem to be disabled and enabled by default no matter what's on.
But these are small issues, over all. The writing itself is pretty darn solid.

Yes, the issue you've pointed out is one I'm absolutely aware of. Essentially the game is still in a very early version, so a lot of what I'm doing is building the ground-work for later scenes. The kink selection is somewhat of a proof-of-concept, and gives me the variables to include as I write more content. Some of them relate to planned scenes that haven't been written yet, and others currently only impact small descriptions (eg humiliation and pain kinks).
Regarding scat/disposal in particular, that's due to me planning an option to turn on/off all scat content, and I'm still trying to work out the best way to plot all of that (Currently I'm looking at juggling three 'layers' of scat content: off, mild and full).
tl;dr - Future versions will make much more explicit use of the kink triggers.
(Oh, and currently body worship impacts the scenes of listening to/feeling the bellies of preds - Angel and Fozz - after they've eaten mice. In the future it will do more)

So there's all these references to "not available in the test version of the game" especially pertaining to the ants. But... I can't seem to find any 'premium' version of this?

Ah, sorry for the confusion! No premium version of the game, it's all going to be free, it's simply still under construction.
I expect most of the references you're coming across are in the things you can (or can't) do with Angel? If so, they're the next thing I'm working on, so after v1.2 there shouldn't be any Angel content with that message.

Sorry, you do have to download it, but once you have the file you can then open it with your browser. I play it in Chrome, for example.

Very cool Game! Keep up the great Work.
Especially I like the willing Scenes with Angel and the Foxes! The Fox discount Scenes could lead to an willing end. Like crawl willingly deeper or so...????♂️ That would be great!????
But for now, I'm excited to read the new Trix of an Old Dog!????

All fantastic ideas! Somehow I hadn't even considered clothing entrapment, which is something I've always enjoyed. I'll think about how I might work some of that in.
A threesome with Angel and her prey is definitely possible! I'd actually half-written a scene close to that (Angel watching you fuck a mouse) which was intended for v1.1, but I ran out of time to finish it and didn't want to delay the release. But yeah, I'll think of other ways to take that scene.
A threesome with a larger creature is less likely, purely because I'm trying to limit the number of large preds in the game (I'd rather have fewer preds with more options than more preds with fewer options). That being said, there IS a reference to a potential rottweiler character in the current build. He doesn't appear and he's not Angel's boyfriend, but he could potentially make an appearance at some point...
Bathroom shenanigans will definitely be added at some point! Might not be this coming update, but it'll be there ^_^

Thank you, glad you liked it! And you certainly will see more of her! I'm working on the next update at the moment, and it's all about giving Angel more options and more in-depth mechanics. It's not going to be ready immediately, but maybe mid-Feb or somewhere like that :)

Sorry, it's a little obscure at the moment. I'm thinking of adding more options to locate them.
In the current build (and the upcoming one) you need to either speak to Fozz the raven or speak to a mouse follower. Compliment Fozz's clothes and they'll tell you they got them at the Fox Market, or ask the mouse how they feed themselves and they'll explain that they get food from the Fox Market. Then it appears as an option at the bottom of the garden.
