She may end up digesting her into fat, but at least she destroys the spell. Guess some good deeds require some kind of sacrifice.

Agate casted the Bête Noire spell after Amber dies, so it would not destroy any spell, however, it would prevent Amber and Copper's deaths, as well as Betty
Actually the early death of Agate would prevent the deaths of a lot of people like Sans, Alphys, Jessica, etc
