Note/Disclaimer: I want to die. I screwed up the upload thrice. First time I tried to upload a .txt, second time I accidentally swapped the description and tag fields. So now we have about 30 useless tags floating around out there that are pieces of this description and seriously I want to die. Third time, I was randomly(?) logged out. I wish there was some way to delete those useless, embarrassing tags from the site. Fourth time's the charm...?



The picture of human life in Sheperdsville is under constant threat from the horrors that lurk in the world outside. But beneath the wing of a mysterious, portly witch, the residents believe themselves to be safe. It is here, nestled within the boundaries of their cozy little community, that they make merry and live their lives. The cost? A small, voluntary sacrifice every few months... a moreish meal made of one of their own, that their jovial savior might be filled with the mana to shelter them from evil. The fateful moment is fast approaching. Hopeful, selfless martyrs abound, but only one shall be chosen. And what their lives truly amount to... Only the woman gobbling them one by one knows for sure.

I started this story in the much-missed spring of 2019, and only just now uploaded it. I've been distracting myself with other projects and periodically losing interest, but I've finally found the backbone to share it, thanks to the encouragement of a dear friend.
