The Hungry feeds the dungeon.
It senses you, as a spider senses prey caught in its web. The moment, you set foot in the dungeon you are hunted and craved.
It cannot see you for it has no eyes, but it does not need them; The closer you are to it, the less it needs to the point where your very breathing will draw it closer to you.
And it will come closer. It moves with remarkable speed that its bulk should betray, cracking stone beneath its weight and rending armour that should be unfortunate enough to come in its path.
It will grab at you, blindly and should you be unlucky enough to be caught within its grasp without any companions to help you, you should lose hope and pray that its cavernous maw will crush your head like a grain of rice.
For the Hungry is also Angry and should it be feeling wrathful, it will chose to bite slowly and carefully, severing limb from body in a delicate, cruel procedure.

But should you be luck to avoid its grip, you must remember to sever its fingers and be as cruel to it, as it would be to you.
Cut its fingers, slice at its legs and tear away its sensory tendrils. Torture the beast as you kill it, to instill fear into its brethren and the dungeon.
Make the dungeon remember you; Make it afraid and bring it low. It will not stop its combat against you. It will enter in a fervor and send more at you.
Accept the challenge; You will not get the treasures and power you crave from within the dungeon until you best it completely.
