Prompt #28 for Voretober was "Pawn"!

This one is the shortest in the Voretober series, I believe. Rosemonde is a very difficult character to write, but to be fair to my characters, I had to throw 'em in somewhere. I decided to throw the Refused into the fray, as well; they haven't been seen since the Failed Hunt, and this shows them off at least a little bit. They're like Hollow Knight vessels, essentially, but...The opposite.
