What happened to her ? I feel some bad backstory. And everyone can be good (unless if somebody is making you do some bad things)

In short, she does not have much time left if something is not done right as well as when she tried to do some good one of the party memebers push her aside.
Ohh... right. She's gonna die ? Did she have a curse ?
