“Morning sleepy!” Triksa pulled back the thick covers that had been concealing her lamia friend's long, serpentine body. The long coils of yellow black and red twitched as Edible brushed her long black hair from her blue eyes.
“What are you so excited about?” She mumbled, her eyes squinting at the berry blue lamia unicorn that beamed down happily from above her.
“I was out foraging in the forest yesterday and I went out way farther than I planned, and when I was out there I found this amazing natural spring! It flowed with hot water and formed large pools that we could swim in! It was so nice that I wanted to show someone but by the time I had found my way back it was night and you were sleeping...”
Edible blinked, the beaming face of her friend finally coming into focus. “You got lost and found a hot spring?”
“Yep! If we leave now we can get there before midday. It looked so nice.”
“How come no-one else in our town had found it?”
“Maybe they have!” Triksa grinned. “But it's too far west, so maybe no-one else was brave enough to look for it.”
“You went hunting in the west forest!?” Edible shot bolt upright. “ Triksa... You know how many ponies go missing in those woods?”
Triksa looked sheepishly down at her belly. “I might... But you and I will be together. There's no way anyone else who hunts in those woods would attack two fearsome Lamia!”
“How many times have you been in the west woods...” Edible asked slowly, her eyes running over the long coils of her friend's body.
“Um... a few... I've never gone very deep... And! Don't get all high with me... I've seen you with a full lump in your gut more than once I'll have you know!”
Now it was Edible's turn to look away sheepishly. “Alright... Maybe the west forest is a little less dangerous for us than for our town's non-lamia residents.” She slithered her way out of bed, stretching as she made her way down the spiralling ramp that led to the lower floor of their home. “You've already packed?” She cocked her head to the side, her gaze falling on a backpack bulging with supplies.
“Oh, I've already packed. I didn't want us to get hungry so I made sure to bring lots!” She slithered past her friend to slide the backpack over her shoulders.
“Okay okay... I am sold.” Edible shook her head. “Just tell me you remember the way?”
“Yep!” Triksa beamed, “Just follow me and we'll be there in no time.”
The two lamias slithered out of town, the sun just beginning to crest over the tops of the trees as they reached the edge of the thick western forest. Triksa charged in, making her way between the dense spruce as she led her friend far from the main path that those brave enough to enter the forest would normally tread. They slithered past the moss covered stones laced within tiny ferns, sweeping through gaps between towering conifers and through open meadows of tall, wavy grass. The trek took them deeper into the unknown wilderness than Edible had ever heard any travel stories of.
“How much farther is it?” Edible asked, her eyes roaming over a patch of sunlight that streamed in from between the dense canopy of foliage. “By the looks of these shadows, we have been out here for hours already.” She placed her hooves to her belly. “Perhaps I shouldn’t have skipped breakfast. I can feel my empty stomach growling at me.”
“That's not good.” Triksa glanced around. “And I have not seen a hint of prey, no pony or deer to be found.” She slithered up behind her friend. “But I would not worry, I packed plenty of food. If your tummy is getting grumpy maybe we can stop and take a quick meal break?”
“No, I should be fine...” She smiled weakly, feeling a little embarrassed she had even brought it up in the first place. “How much farther is the hot spring?”
“Oh! Not far... At least I think so.” She pointed to a large gray boulder. “I remember this, I think we are almost there.” She turned away, doing her best to conceal the loud grumble brewing within her. If Edible was good waiting then so was she.
“Alright then. I’ll just make do until we get there. I would rather enjoy my meal while soaking in the spring than scarf it down now.”
“Also we might run into someone we can eat!” She slung her leg around Edible's neck.
She nodded as the two set off again. Despite Triksa’s assurance, the minutes slipped by, gradually lengthening into hours. Her own hunger grew ever harder to deny as she did her best to stave it off. She could wait a little longer… They had to be getting close...
The sun ws growing low in the sky before they finally arrived, the sound of rushing water greeting their ears as they pushed their way through the thick brush surrounding the edge of the clearing. It was indeed a magnificent sight, the spring doubled up from a crack in a massive stone outcropping, cascading down a good thirty feet or so in a wonderful waterfall into a large natural basin about the width of Edible's body from nose to tail. “Eeee!” Edible squeaked. “Triksa! This is amazing!” She dipped the tip of her tail in the water. “And so warm!”
“Yep! And it's all ours. She dropped the pack on a large flat stone by the water’s edge. “Race you in!”
“Like you have a chance!” Edible said, splashing into the water. The waves doused her long black hair as Triksa cannonballed in beside her.
“Maybe not.” She chuckled and felt the smooth stones of the basin floor shifting on her long coils as she stretched herself out in lovely warm water.
Edible coiled the end of her tail around Triksa's upper body. “Hey.” She teased playfully. “Watch yourself, you got me all soaking wet...~”
“No fair. All I did was get you a little wet, and we are in a pool full of water!” She wiggled free of Edible's grip, teasing her friend as she playfully splashed another helping of water over her friend's upper body.
“You know, you keep that up and I'll eat you!”
“Not if I eat you first!” Triksa pounced, her jaws closing over her friend's head. She gulped recklessly, thoughts overtaken by predatory passion as her body set to devour her friend. Part of her was aware she was taking things too far, but a full day’s travel easily overwhelmed any hesitation she might have felt. Her throat rippled as she slurped her licorice flavoured friend, her head vanishing as her full upper body was soon to follow. By the time Triksa had fully come to terms with what was happening, her jaws were gliding around the tip of her friend’s flailing tail.
“Edible!” She mumbled, fear filling her as she pressed her hooves to her throat, trying her best to force her body to work against its instincts. “I didn't mean... I was just trying to nibble the top of your head...” She felt her throat constrict, her efforts proving to be hopeless as her friend's long tail began to slowly slip past her frantically trembling lips.
“I am so sorry, maybe I should have eaten something... slithering out here all day... I was just so hungry... I didn't realize just how much till my tongue tasted your fur. I... Now the day is ruined, how will you enjoy this beautiful place while you are inside me... though... you do taste really good. Your scales are so sweet... Mmmm. Ah... I am sorry. You are my friend. I shouldn't be enjoying this.” She whimpered as she felt Edible’s upper body shift into her long lower stomach. A rush of delightful pleasure filled her body as her muscles stretched and rippled over her friend's body, the lovely feelings bringing a panicked tear to her eye. Her throat gulped, drawing down her friend's long body like a thick rope of licorice.
“Maybe once I finish and my body relaxes we can find a way to get you out...” Her heart sank as the words left Triksa's lips. She had never managed to spit anyone up before. Once they were inside, there was no way out for them. She placed a hoof on her belly, feeling her flesh move and shift as the last of her friend's tail snaked its way down her throat. Her lips closed, jaw popping back into its socket. “I am so sorry... I didn't mean for any of this to happen... Edible? Can you hear me?” She swung the end of her tail up beside her head, pressing her ear to the lump Edible's upper body had left within her coils.
“Ya...”
“Are you okay? I... It just happened so fast, and you were so good. And now that I think about it... Your name even fits what happened... I... It's all my fault. I didn't even let you eat anything. You are going to be digested hungry... And it's all my fault…”
“It's okay... I... It felt nice sliding down your throat.” Triksa felt her friend shift within her. “I never knew how comfortable your insides were.” A loud grumble filled her ears as Edible's stomach made its empty status unmistakably known.
“Are you sure... We've been friends so long... And for it to all end with a silly mistake…”... She hid her face with her hooves. “At least maybe I can do one thing right today.” She slithered over to the rock where she had left the backpack of food. Like a striking cobra, her jaws closed over the leather pack, a hardy gulp sending it down to join her friend. Her face contorted in disgust at the pack's icky texture and taste. “There... Now at least you have something to eat...” She let out a little disgruntled mew as she let herself lay back in the water, her long body uncoiling as she stretched herself out in the warm, placid pool. Slowly, she began to work the lump along her length, easing it farther and farther down her stomach till it came within reach of her friend's grasp. She felt her meal twitch inside her long stomach as its hooves found their way around the pack of goodies she had just swallowed.
“Oh Triksa...” Edible mumbled. “You made lemon-lime frosted cupcakes?”
“I did!” Her face fell as she looked down at the bulge of her friend tightly trapped within her grumbling tummy. “Don't feel bad about having them all to yourself... I don't deserve to enjoy anything after what I did to you.”
“Don't be like that.” Edible scoffed, slipping the first of the cupcakes into her mouth. “I don't mind being your food as much as you seem to think. It's... well... I always wondered what those you ate felt before they melted away inside you. I was just too embarrassed to ask... to ever try it for myself.”
“Really!?” a look of stunned shock spread across Triksa's face. “You... you thought about... about being a meal...” A deep blush pulsed across her cheeks. “You know... I might have, maybe, felt the same way. Seeing your stomach work its way around those swimming prey. The way your lips would gracefully slide over their bodies, the lump they made in your throat as you swallowed... I... Part of me always hoped you'd fail to find food one day and turn on me. Gobble me up like a tasty little snack.” She found herself giggling at the idea. “Guess only one of us will get to know what it's like.” She placed her hoof on the lump Edible’s upper body left in her coils. “So... How am I to be inside?”
“Soft... moist.” I feel like I am getting a massage all over my body… I feel so close to you, like I am part of you almost... It's very nice.”
“Ya.. but... Soon it's going to not be nice... My tummy is going to digest you, turn you into just scales and bones.”
“I know... But at some point everyone will be eaten, if not by a pred of flesh and blood then by the true apex of them all, time. I’d rather die within my friend than be a meal for some smart ass, or worse let the slow acids of age gradually claim me.”
“Aww. You're so kind.” She laid down in the water, hugging the lump in her tail. “I wish I had been more honest with you... Now I will never get to know what it's like to be inside you...”
“Hum?” Edible’s words were somewhat muffled, not only by Triksa's stomach but all the large number of cupcakes that she was currently savouring within her maw. “You will just have to console yourself with the new thick layer I am going to become on your tail once I finish digesting.” She giggled.
“It's not fair... I should be the one inside you!” She huffed. “All nice and tightly tucked away.” Her belly let out a low rumble as it geared up to finish off her friend's life. “Now I am going to be alone, how will I ever find someone who wants to eat me?” She flopped back into the water, blushing a little as she felt her strong stomach muscles massage their way over Edible's long, robust body.
“I would not be concerned about that little detail.” A cold whisper hissed behind her ear.
Triksa nearly flew out of her skin as she whipped her head around to the gleaming, slitted eyes of another lamia pony. “What, who are you?” She splashed backward, now acutely aware of this new snake, her mind struggling to process what it was seeking. This new lamia looked very similar to Edible. Same yellow coat and black hair, same yellow black and red banding, but something was different. The way the colours were arranged, red, black, yellow, red... This snake was venomous. A coral lamia.
“Simply put, a hungry predator.” She smiled. Her forked tongue flicked out to taste the scent of her victim. “You have found my personal spring, and so will be left here as a prisoner of my body's digestive needs.”
“Um...” Triksa mumbled. “I know you might have heard me talking to my friend.” She pointed to the lump in her tail. “About how I wished she could have been the one to eat me... But...” Her eyes moved from the coral snake's fangs to their slitted eyes to the silver crescent moon hanging from their left ear. “Er... I don't have a death wish... Being inside my friend is a lot different than being eaten by some stranger.” She straightened herself up, folding her arms as she locked eyes with the much larger lamia.
“Oh? Well, if we must be acquainted before I swallow you whole then know my name is Venom. I am a necromancer that cares not for the lives of those I take.” Her tongue flicked playfully as a crafty smile turned up the corners of her cheeks. “All other details are quite beside the point as I normally leave the friend-making up to my insides until the subjects are quite dead.”
Triksa ran her gaze over the seemingly endless coils of the other lamia. She felt her heart trembling as a spike of fear trickled down the back of her neck. “I'm not sure... Thank you for the offer but..” She gulped, her lip quivering. “I should just go... I have a good friend to digest and I should finish that before I get coiled up in any pred myself.”
“Mmm, but knowing I have had a double live meal is too delectable to pass.” Venom's words made Triksa shiver like frosted ice on a cold morning.
No... She had to be strong... Not give in... The snug feel of her full gut forced its way into her mind. Her craving to know what Edible must be feeling right now. The warmth, the tight closeness of being fully enveloped within another body. A soft click wormed its way into her ear as Venom's lower jaw popped out of its socket.
“You want this, don't you.” She mused, watching her prey's eyes gaze lingering between her gaping jaws. “Your friend is dead either way, might as well enjoy digesting together.”
Triksa reached her hoof tentatively towards Venom's gaping maw. “I... I really should be going.”
“You seem to be under some mistaken impression that I am offering you a choice in this matter.” In a slow, fluid motion, Venom encircled her would-be prey, her tail coiling itself around Triksa's upper body as her lips slipped over the blue lamia's twitching tail. “Just relax, I will take care of everything moving forward.”
“Please..” Triksa struggled weakly against the other snake's coils, putting little effort into trying to escape. She felt her heart quicken as the seductive serpent's moist mouth slipped over the tip of her tail. “I... I don't want this..” She knew her words would convince no one. Not even she truly believed what she was saying. She felt Edible squirm as another layer of flesh was added over her, Venom's throat taking the bulge of her friend's body in stride.
“Triksa! What's going on!” Edible squeaked. “Are you... Is this Lamia eating you?”
“Mhmm... It's okay! Now we can both be food together!” She felt her lips lifting into a smile as the idea took root in her mind. Any fear she had felt began to trickle away as her body began to accept its fate. She watched with wide-eyed amazement as the little lips crept over her long tail, slurping her body up like a piece of pasta. “Oh Edible... This feels so nice! The way her throat is taking me, the long, smooth, moist slide as her stomach wraps its way around my body... Is this what all the people we ate got to feel? It's so wonderful!”
“It truly is. I am so happy I get to experience this with you.”
Triksa felt the coils around her upper body loosen as Venom's jaws closed in toward her upper body. She let her head tilt back, feeling the soft tickle of Venom's forked tongue coaxing up the back of her spine. She squirmed against the powerful muscles that pulled her inside, feeling them push back as they held her fast, dragging her deeper to her demise inside the wonderful gut of this much larger ravenous serpent. She felt her hair tug against her head as it dragged through Venom's fangs, the roof of her maw looming into her vision before her head was forced back, her arms pressing to her ears before her world slipped into the hot, moist darkness of Venom's grasping throat. A deep blush flooded over her features as she felt herself get pulled down, gently gliding her way into the long, grumbling, constricting chamber that would soon be her demise.
“Edible?” She wiggled her tail, the thick, moist, acidic air bit at the inside of her nose. “This feels so good. I... How did we wait this long to feel this...” Her voice trembled as overwhelming joy flooded over her.
“Mhhm, see, there was never any reason for you to feel bad.”
“I... ya, I guess you're right.” Triksa snuggled herself into the warm, wet walls. “I wonder how long it will take for us to be digested?”
“Humm, well, I think you will be dead within a few hours, that’s normally when you prey stop moving.”
“I think they normally last a little longer than that.” Triksa huffed, feeling a little embarrassed that she has been so careless with her meals, allowing her body to melt them quickly rather than allowing them the time to savour the once in a lifetime experience that would unfold for them within her.
“I hope so... I want to enjoy the little time we have left together...”
Venom rolled her eyes, licking the last of the blueberry snake's taste from her lips. Silly gut sluts.... How had they lasted long enough to find their way to her belly? It mattered not, soon they would be nothing but bones for her collection and the secret of her spring would remain with her. She stretched out, feeling her body gratefully hugging around the enormous amount of food she had filled it with. There was no need to do anything else with her day now, all she had to do was relax and let her prey digest.
An hour slipped by, the stewing lump in her body slowly starting to settle down as her acids took their toll. A low burp rumbled from her lips as she made her way back to her cozy den, settling in to sleep until her body had finished its work. Weeks later she awoke, her body thick with fresh layers of fat. She ran her hooves down her long coils, marveling at the squishy feel of her new form. She felt a hard lump catch in the back of her throat. “Looks like it's time to see what new toys you left for me to play with.” She relaxed her throat, allowing her body to push up the mass of indigestible bones that her meals had left behind.
A torrent of white spilled from her lips as the two lamia's remains poured out. “Oh my, what nice skeletons you have.” She smiled, picking up the skull of the blue unicorn serpent. “You will make lovely additions to my collection.”
