It had been a rather hectic day at the little grocery store. One of the employees had called in sick and Marcella frantically tried to call someone to cover the shift. Everyone was either unavailable or didn’t pick up. They ended up being short staffed and the stress began to set in.

It was a friday so lot’s of people went to buy groceries during that time. The work piled up as more and more people came in. Clarence didn’t get a moments breather due to the workload. Marcella was constantly juggling between restocking shelves, ordering new stock and going around to help the customers.
She even had to delay her own lunch time due to how much there was to do. It was at times like those where she hated this kind of work. To top it all of not a single Karen came in during the whole day. She had what little remained of a Karen from the night before in her stomach, but that was not enough, she was probably nothing but bones by now.

Sure enough the day slowly went by and evening was here. Everyone was exhausted from the amount of work. Marcella let most of the workers go home a little early. Only she and Clarence remained to close the shop and deal with the after hour tasks.

Clarence was just about ready to fall asleep at the counter when someone entered the store. A young girl had entered the store, she was practically exposing her breasts for all to see. Only the sides of her fully unzipped jacket covered her chest. No bra, no shirt, nothing. She was not leaving much to the imagination. Clarence perked up a bit when she approached him. She had a mean smile on her face as she put a bag on the table and brought out a knife.

“hey there, cute stuff. Why dontcha put the money in the bag and I won’t have to cut up that pretty little face.” she said as she swished the knife around.

Clarence began smiling and began resting his cheek on his hand. He began thinking to himself how much more interesting the evening was getting.
“you’re robbing us, huh? I hope you brought snake repellent with you.” he said in a somewhat jokingly and sarcastic manner.
The robber seemed confused and very annoyed by that remark. “snake repellent? Why the hell would I need snake repellent?” she seemed just about ready to slash him with the knife as when a very large and dark shape slithered up behind her. Glowing red eyes and a fanged gaping maw could be seen. Clarence smirked as he knew what was coming.
