They don't seem to understand his point of view. He's....done. It's not just that it effects everyone, it's ALREADY effected him and those he cares about. Within the past day so many have died or been forced to drastically change everything they know about their worldview, and now he's being asked to plunge himself back into a work that was clearly taking a severe mental toll on him, just to make up for the fact that Gretel, with her natural talent, said no. He knows he's the 'sloppy seconds' and that along with the stress of the work and the adverse effects of said work he's already seen, it's too much. He's just....done. He's out of the game.

It really feels like he's just as much done with the world of alchemy as Fris is, only that he copes by shutting himself away from it instead of killing himself. Of course I'm assuming he can't or has accepted his fate with the other familiars but ya know. I get the feeling that somehow, in some way Hanz is going to be the game changer of what's left of the group, but I sure as hell don't know how. Assuming Waffle will attempt to convince Hanz next as we seen her attempt with Gretal... if she does it's more than likely gonna bite her in the ass in some way. Or maybe give faith to Steiner some how that he managed to live with himself despite everything he's gone through if Waffle doesn't erase him right here, I dunno rip the milk out of Nudle in some way lol

I think her attention is gonna be drawn away to the fight. I don't think she's gonna do anything to Steiner, at least yet. Remember the beacons? I think that waffling is about to use their's.

Wait, I am reading this 4 in the morning, Steiner is the guy who used his body as mana and propelled out of the pipes of a staircase away from the hell's chef cow demon right?

How is Steiner abosrbed/captured if that's the case?

Or did I remember falsely and that Steiner is the guy who is in love with Fris and got nommed by Lefaw?
