Well, this really isn't a story as much as it is a few vittles needed for my upcoming game guide. Can't have people follow a walkthrough if they don't have a game in the first place!
I'll try to keep this up and running as much as I can since all this stuff is already super hard to find. The .zip folders are linked to my Google Drive, so they shouldn't go out like mediafire ones.
FOR PATCH: The game file itself already has the patch in place, but just in case things start to go wonky and your game starts crashing, unzip the patch folder and drag the single file inside directly into the shrink high folder that holds the application.
FOR DATA: The data contains all the special goodies for God Mode, including a large sum of cash, enough experience to hit max level after one battle, and a trove of the game's best equipment. The game starts at the very beginning, with nothing having happened except the opening cutscene. To have it pop up in the game, take the file from the unzipped folder and place it directly into the shrink high folder that holds the application. Rename the file "Save1.rvdata" and the save should pop up in the game's first save file.

hey i appreciate you putting this out there for all of us, and i already asked this question a bunch of times but maybe you will be able to help, basically the patch or the RGSS2A file is like bugged for me, it opens with utorrent (or atleast the icon is of utorrent) and idk if that bugs it or not but basically when i try to start the game it says RGSS202E.dll could not be found and ive been trying to fix this issue but as far as i know i think the file i mentioned above could not be read, i would be really thankful if perhaps someone had a solution for this.

Have you tried downloading the files from my links and starting fresh? I had tested everything and it was fine then.

yeah no, i tried that the last time, just inserting the missing file but then i get a Audio/BGM/town5 with some presumably japanese letters in between, and then theres an option to click okay, after that the game closes (the game does start but does not go to the main screen) i tried once copying an audio file from the already audio folder and naming it like this or something similar and this does get me to the main screen with that audio clip constantly playing on loop (a motor/car driving or smth). i seem to be completely missing audio files and possibly some other files. Id show a screenshot of my folder or the problems i currently have but i cannot. (also sidenote, i changed the RGSS2A file to a notepad++ so i can open it, didnt help to the game). It really is a problem ive never met before, and i did play shrink high before on the same pc, i just dont know what changed. If there is anything else i could try i would be grateful, otherwise thank you for trying anyways.

and yes i did use your links in hopes that the last game i had was just bugged, sadly not the case, same stuff.

maybe it would be possible to just copy someone elses shrink high folder completely and try that, but idk. Asked on giantesscity first, no answers there aswell, asked like months ago.

Yeah, Giantess City really isn't helpful. If other copies don't work then I'd want to say it's something with your hardware but I'm not a tech wiz so IDK :/

thats fair, problem with that theory is that ive already played the game on the exact same pc, thats why its confusing to me. But hey, thank you for trying either way. it really is a shame tho, i loved the game, the grindy stuff is just my thing XD. well met stranger, ive liked your guides so far, so if you still have the motivations to continue, keep up the good work, it is really hard to find decent guides on the game, one such as this in detail is nice, even if its just in text.

I installed the included RPG maker, and downloaded the RGSS202E.dll file (which fixed that issue) but now it's saying that RPGVX RTP is not found. Is there a step I missed somewhere?

The placement of the program is also really iffy. What worked for me is, in the document tab or wherever you're keeping this, having RPGMaker as a base file (don't put it in any folders) and Shrink High (the whole file) inside another folder labeled "games" or something like that.
Essentially, RPGMaker has to come first in the file order for it to work, or at least that's how it was for me.

If I understand this right, install the RTP100 setup.exe, then unzip the game files into "Games" in the "RPGVXAce" folder that was just installed?

For the most part, yes, but keep the games folder separate from the RPGRVAce folder. It's really hard to explain without pictures, but one the first screen you'll have the Games and RPGMaker folders side-by-side. Inside the games folder you'll put the Shrink High folders and that should do it.

So i downloaded everything right or so i believed but then when trying to boot up the game it just says “UmePlus Gothic” and some japanese, what do i do?
