Finn slid gently into Pettie's stomach and immediately began shuffling around in the darkness. She quickly found the book Pettie had swallowed and continued rummaging until she found a small latex knapsack she had tucked inside Pettie on a previous trip. She pulled out a headlamp and turned it on; she gazed into the depth of Pettie's stomach for a moment, unable to see the end. She leaned against a wall and resumed reading, the gentle sound of gurgling and a heartbeat echoed around her.
