In reality, Camille is a centuries old voodoo goddess that grew quite bored with the realm of the divine and such affairs,
so one day long ago, she simply vanished from world at large and none could track her down, or perhaps any that did vanished without a trace.
Her true name has been lost to time and she's changed names and appearances so many times she's honestly forgotten what it was. She likes going by Camille now however.

On top of that, she's become quite fond of her body currently, and while she's always been a gator since time immemorial, her appearance always fluctuated over the centuries.
But none of that really matters, the mortal realm and it's delights certainly have kept her more entertained than anything back home could have offered.
Truly she laments that perhaps she should have played a bigger part in such affairs to steer things in a way she liked but things as they are feel quite entertaining as is.


Unfortunately information such as this is highly secret to the gator woman and essentially no one knows about any of this, and any that do end up finding out run into...problems.
Some end up disappearing though several would comment Camille would look more endowed when another performance came about, some find sizable gaps in their memories regarding any knowledge of Camille's true nature, and any actual resistance to such an effect leads to worse.
While not exactly super secretive, Camille often prefers keeping her true nature confined to easily controlled crowds such as her clubs where she can go wild and pass it off as fancy effects.
