When you really think about it the concept is not far off when you look at Pokemon Arceus, especially at the beginning where they basically say you're gonna die out there, so the player being eaten by a pokemon wouldn't be far off, especially when they have Carnivine in the game because according to their dex entry it takes 24 hours for it to eat its prey
