This seemed like a good idea at the time I wrote this, but it serves absolutely no purpose here. The only reason I didn't delete this, is because the scenario was interesting and I was too lazy to tie together the previous and the next part in it's place.

I don't really know either. Maybe it's because the first version of this was full of repeating sentences and I had to restructure most of it. It was probably the process of fixing it that I didn't like.
