Not sure what this is? Here's a post explaining the series!: https://aryion.com/g4/view/712411
____________
The most popular destination I saw mentioned was the mage guild, so that's where we headed first! We also helped Miram out with her clothing plan and nudged her towards a more vorish future goal ;)
But, the guild has offered a job to us! Should we take it? Ask further questions? Turn it down and just carry on to checking out the notice board? Something else?
You can find Adrea’s character sheet here!: https://aryion.com/g4/view/712418
Remember, you can ask any questions about the world (that are relevant to the current chapter) if you think you want/need more information about something! I'll do a 'live' intelligence check before answering if it's something Adrea might know.

Potentially easy coin, a mission that could benefit from Miram's skillset, an opportunity to learn about the guild from a hostile witness... How could we refuse?

Certainly something that we should take advantage off. We should take the job, and do a two way attack, Adrea from the the customer aspect, and Miram from the spying aspect. Also in regards with the drake story, we got the hunter's name, correct? If so, hopefully she can reach out to them and confirm our story, as I'm assuming that all guilds generally have some form of contact with each other.
As for the desk harpy......I'm thinking she is a bit too high and mighty for her own good. But something for later.

I agree we should definitely pursue this job. Easy, low risk work to get our foot in the door here at the mage guild sounds perfect.
Name dropping Esther in regards to our drake story couldn't hurt. If Persona's assumption about the guilds being in contact with each other is true, having her as a witness should make the story easy to verify.
This desk harpy has definitely put herself on the "Deserves to be eaten" list, but considering we're still trying to get into the mage guild eating her now would probably be a terrible idea. Something to keep in mind for the future though, if the opportunity arises once we're a member...
On that note, does Adrea know anything about the legality of eating people? Is it considered acceptable like in the SMVA universe, or is it tantamount to murder? We've spent most of our adventure in rural areas where we haven't had to worry much about the law, but here we should probably be careful not to get on the wrong side of it.

Also, apologies if this question has already been asked. I feel like it's something that would have come up before now, but if it was ever asked & answered I don't remember what that answer was.

The latter, it's generally against the law(in places that have them) to eat people without valid cause. If you go back and look, one of the crimes Kalista Mae was wanted for on the bounty poster we saw was "Devouring of Innocents"!

No harm in asking for more information about the apothacary, firstly her name. Secondly, what's the nature of the shady dealings she's been up to? Maybe if we know what illicit things she's allegedly been up to we can ask leading questions to get her into revealing more of that side of her business, or giving away information she wouldn't have otherwise. Outside of that, I think the job seems simple enough that we'd be remiss to pass up on the opportunity.
I really like the idea of having Miram spy while Adrea plays the part of the customer. That way we cover two angles and play to Miram's strengths. I don't think we should push ourselves further than necessary on this job though, if things start looking dangerous or the apothecary starts getting suspicious, let's not be heroes and be ready to abandoned ship so to speak. After all, I'd still like to check out the hunter's guild for Miram before the day is up. She seems really into the adventurer lifestyle and it will be nice to have an extra avenue of offense in hazardous situations.
( Also, Miram's confusion was adorable and hilarious, bringing her along was the best decision ever. )
Now, this is thinking very far ahead, but once we've gotten some coin and gotten stronger here. Maybe we really should go back to Bellriver (and not JUST because I want to see Miram eat Malva). There were some bounties on the board there that would have seen Adrea punching well above her weight that might be interesting to look into once the adventures we have here have adequately empowered her.
Eventually we should really look into our own mode of transport as well so we don't have to hitch rides or walk to other towns. I imagine a horse and carriage will be pretty expensive though.
Maybe on our way out of town here we can pay this rude receptionist a quick visit too, no one will ever know!
A question: I can see on Adrea's character sheet that Miram doesn't have a level, can she level up? Does she level up with us? If not, will we ever be able to increase her health, capacity, etc?

For long term goals, I agree a horse or some other form of transportation would definitely be good to aim for.

Miram can level up! You just can't see her level/attributes yet. More information will be visible on her character sheet as we get to know her better/our relationship with her improves

An enjoyable read. I like the description of the characters.
I'd say it wouldn't hurt to take a look in the apothethacary. Getting more info would be a good idea as well.
